After resolving the difficulties of the residents of Lakhpat, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji arrived in Bhuj, the main city of the Kutch princely state. This place was a center of left-hand path practitioners, who, instead of leading a spiritual life, were misleading the common people by labeling immorality as religion.

Guru Ji rebuked them and said:

"A person living a sinful life can never walk the path of truth. Living a life of wrongdoing is self-deception, which ultimately leads to regret and repentance. If someone truly wants to become religious, they must first conquer their own mind. By gaining victory over the mind, one naturally attains victory over the world. As long as we keep chasing fleeting desires, our cravings will continue to grow, bringing us nothing but suffering. The only way to attain union with the Divine is to restrain our desires."

This teaching had a profound impact on everyone’s life.
