At the request of King Vijay Prakash, Guru Ji…
At the request of King Vijay Prakash, Guru Ji visited his capital, Srinagar, Garhwal. However, after the fair concluded, he departed from there and reached Kotdwar.
There, people were engaged in worshiping various idols of the twelve incarnations (avatars), each with different beliefs and rituals. Due to this, instead of unity, divisions had developed among the common people. Everyone considered others inferior and regarded themselves as the true devotees, believing their chosen deity or avatar to be the supreme god. As a result, social harmony was deteriorating.
Seeing these flaws, Guru Ji addressed all the priests and said:
"The Supreme Divine Light is one; then how can someone be lesser and another greater?"
"Sāhib merā eko hai, Eko hai bhāī eko hai."

The concept of avatar worship creates confusion and becomes an obstacle in attaining the true goal because whatever is born must eventually perish. However, the Supreme Lord exists beyond birth and death, which is why He is called the Akal Purakh—the One who is not bound by time.
Until we worship that eternal, timeless power, we cannot attain salvation because our chosen deities (ishtas), including all gods, goddesses, and incarnated beings, themselves remain bound in the cycle of birth and death.
