One day, Guru Nanak Ji was looking at some book in his hand when his father asked, "Nanak, what are you reading?"

Guru Nanak Ji replied, "Father, I am reading the Gita."

At that moment, their family priest, Pandit Gopal Ji, also arrived and said, "Nanak, recite the Gita for us as well."

Then, at just eight years of age, Guru Ji recited the Gita along with its meaning in such a profound manner that both the priest and his father were astonished (amazed).
