ਵਿਸਰਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੂ ਕਬਹੂ ਸੋ ਥਾਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੇਹਾ ॥

Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਵਿਸਰਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੂ ਕਬਹੂ ਸੋ ਥਾਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੇਹਾ ॥

visrahi nāhī jitu tū kabahū sō thānu tērā kēhā ॥

विसरहि नाही जितु तू कबहू सो थानु तेरा केहा ॥

Where is that place, where You are never forgotten, Lord?

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਵੈ ਦੇਹਾ ॥੧॥

āṭh pahar jitu tudhu dhiāī nirmal hōvai dēhā ॥1॥

आठ पहर जितु तुधु धिआई निरमल होवै देहा ॥१॥

Twenty-four hours a day, they meditate on You, and their bodies become spotless and pure. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਹਉ ਸੋ ਥਾਨੁ ਭਾਲਣ ਆਇਆ ॥

mērē rām hau sō thānu bhālaṇ āiā ॥

मेरे राम हउ सो थानु भालण आइआ ॥

O my Lord, I have come searching for that place.

ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਭਇਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਤਿਨ੍‍ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

khōjat khōjat bhaiā sādhsaṅgu tin‍ sarṇāī pāiā ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

खोजत खोजत भइआ साधसंगु तिन्‍ सरणाई पाइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

After seeking and searching, I found Sanctuary in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||Pause||

ਬੇਦ ਪੜੇ ਪੜਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਹਾਰੇ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥

bēd paṛē paṛi brahmē hārē iku tilu nahī kīmti pāī ॥

बेद पड़े पड़ि ब्रहमे हारे इकु तिलु नही कीमति पाई ॥

Reading and reciting the Vedas, Brahma grew weary, but he did not find even a tiny bit of God's worth.

ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿਧ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਬਿਲਲਾਤੇ ਤੇ ਭੀ ਮੋਹੇ ਮਾਈ ॥੨॥

sādhik sidh phirhi billātē tē bhī mōhē māī ॥2॥

साधिक सिध फिरहि बिललाते ते भी मोहे माई ॥२॥

The seekers and Siddhas wander around bewailing; they too are enticed by Maya. ||2||

ਦਸ ਅਉਤਾਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਹੋਇ ਵਰਤੇ ਮਹਾਦੇਵ ਅਉਧੂਤਾ ॥

das autār rājē hōi vartē mahādēv audhūtā ॥

दस अउतार राजे होइ वरते महादेव अउधूता ॥

There were ten regal incarnations of Vishnu; and then there was Shiva, the renunciate.

ਤਿਨ੍‍ ਭੀ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਤੇਰਾ ਲਾਇ ਥਕੇ ਬਿਭੂਤਾ ॥੩॥

tin‍ bhī antu na pāiō tērā lāi thakē bibhūtā ॥3॥

तिन्‍ भी अंतु न पाइओ तेरा लाइ थके बिभूता ॥३॥

He did not find Your limits either, although he grew weary of smearing his body with ashes. ||3||

ਸਹਜ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਮ ਰਸ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤੀ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥

sahaj sūkh ānand nām ras hari santī maṅglu gāiā ॥

सहज सूख आनंद न??म रस हरि संती मंगलु गाइआ ॥

Peace, poise and bliss are found in the subtle essence of the Naam. The Lord's Saints sing the songs of joy.

ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੪॥੨॥੪੯॥

saphal darsanu bhēṭiō gur nānak tā mani tani hari hari dhiāiā ॥4॥2॥49॥

सफल दरसनु भेटिओ गुर नानक ता मनि तनि हरि हरि धिआइआ ॥४॥२॥४९॥

I have obtained the Fruitful Vision of Guru Nanak's Darshan, and with my mind and body I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||2||49||
