ਢਾਢੀ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਿਤ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥

ḍhāḍhī guṇ gāvai nit janmu savāriā ॥

ढाढी गुण गावै नित जनमु सवारिआ ॥

The minstrel continually sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, to embellish his life.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਸਚਾ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥

gurmukhi sēvi salāhi sachā ur dhāriā ॥

गुरमुखि सेवि सलाहि सचा उर धारिआ ॥

The Gurmukh serves and praises the True Lord, enshrining Him within his heart.

ਘਰੁ ਦਰੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਮਹਲੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ॥

gharu daru pāvai mahlu nāmu piāriā ॥

घरु दरु पावै महलु नामु पिआरिआ ॥

He obtains his own home and mansion, by loving the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਉ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ॥

gurmukhi pāiā nāmu hau gur kau vāriā ॥

गुरमुखि पाइआ नामु हउ गुर कउ वारिआ ॥

As Gurmukh, I have obtained the Naam; I am a sacrifice to the Guru.

ਤੂ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰਿਆ ॥੧੬॥

tū āpi savārahi āpi sirjanhāriā ॥16॥

तू आपि सवारहि आपि सिरजनहारिआ ॥१६॥

You Yourself embellish and adorn us, O Creator Lord. ||16||
