ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ

गोंड महला ५ ॥

Gond, Fifth Mehl:

ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥

santan kai balihārai jāu ॥

संतन कै बलिहारै जाउ ॥

I am a sacrifice to the Saints.

ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ॥

santan kai saṅgi rām gun gāu ॥

संतन कै संगि राम गुन गाउ ॥

Associating with the Saints, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਗਏ ॥

sant prasādi kilvikh sabhi gaē ॥

संत प्रसादि किलविख सभि गए ॥

By the Grace of the Saints, all the sins are taken away.

ਸੰਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਏ ॥੧॥

sant sarṇi vaḍbhāgī paē ॥1॥

संत सरणि वडभागी पए ॥१॥

By great good fortune, one finds the Sanctuary of the Saints. ||1||

ਰਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਕਛੁ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ॥

rāmu japat kachhu bighnu na viāpai ॥

रामु जपत कछु बिघनु न विआपै ॥

Meditating on the Lord, no obstacles will block your way.

ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਪੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

gur prasādi apunā prabhu jāpai ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

गुर प्रसादि अपुना प्रभु जापै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

By Guru's Grace, meditate on God. ||1||Pause||

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਬ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲ ॥

pārbrahmu jab hōi daiāl ॥

पारब्रहमु जब होइ दइआल ॥

When the Supreme Lord God becomes merciful,

ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਕਰੈ ਰਵਾਲ ॥

sādhū jan kī karai ravāl ॥

साधू जन की करै रवाल ॥

He makes me the dust of the feet of the Holy.

ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਇ ॥

kāmu krōdhu isu tan tē jāi ॥

कामु क्रोधु इसु तन ते जाइ ॥

Sexual desire and anger leave his body,

ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੨॥

rām ratnu vasai mani āi ॥2॥

राम रतनु वसै मनि आइ ॥२॥

And the Lord, the jewel, comes to dwell in his mind. ||2||

ਸਫਲੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਤਾਂ ਕਾ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥

saphlu janmu tāṃ kā parvāṇu ॥

सफलु जनमु तां का परवाणु ॥

Fruitful and approved is the life of one

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੁ ॥

pārbrahmu nikṭi kari jāṇu ॥

पारब्रहमु निकटि करि जाणु ॥

Who knows the Supreme Lord God to be close.

ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਰਤਨਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥

bhāi bhagti prabh kīrtani lāgai ॥

भाइ भगति प्रभ कीरतनि लागै ॥

One who is committed to loving devotional worship of God, and the Kirtan of His Praises,

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੩॥

janam janam kā sōiā jāgai ॥3॥

जनम जनम का सोइआ जागै ॥३॥

Awakens from the sleep of countless incarnations. ||3||

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥

charan kamal jan kā ādhāru ॥

चरन कमल जन का आधारु ॥

The Lord's Lotus Feet are the Support of His humble servant.

ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਰਉਂ ਸਚੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੁ ॥

guṇ gōvind rauṃ sachu vāpāru ॥

गुण गोविंद रउं सचु वापारु ॥

To chant the Praises of the Lord of the Universe is the true trade.

ਦਾਸ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਮਨਸਾ ਪੂਰਿ ॥

dās janā kī mansā pūri ॥

दास जना की मनसा पूरि ॥

Please fulfill the hopes of Your humble slave.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੨੦॥੨੨॥੬॥੨੮॥

nānak sukhu pāvai jan dhūri ॥4॥20॥22॥6॥28॥

नानक सुखु पावै जन धूरि ॥४॥२०॥२२॥६॥२८॥

Nanak finds peace in the dust of the feet of the humble. ||4||20||22||6||28||
