ਸੁਖ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik-ōṅkār satigur prasādi ॥

ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਸੁਖ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ॥

sukh sōhilṛā hari dhiāvhu ॥

सुख सोहिलड़ा हरि धिआवहु ॥

Meditate on the Lord, and find peace and pleasure.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥

gurmukhi hari phalu pāvhu ॥

गुरमुखि हरि फलु पावहु ॥

As Gurmukh, obtain the Lord's fruitful rewards.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥

gurmukhi phalu pāvhu hari nāmu dhiāvhu janam janam kē dūkh nivārē ॥

गुरमुखि फलु पावहु हरि नामु धिआवहु जनम जनम के दूख निवारे ॥

As Gurmukh, obtain the fruit of the Lord, and meditate on the Lord's Name; the pains of countless lifetimes shall be erased.

ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਅਪਣੇ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਭਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥

balihārī gur apṇē viṭhu jini kāraj sabhi savārē ॥

बलिहारी गुर अपणे विटहु जिनि कारज सभि सवारे ॥

I am a sacrifice to my Guru, who has arranged and resolved all my affairs.

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪਹੁ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥

hari prabhu kripā karē hari jāpahu sukh phal hari jan pāvhu ॥

हरि प्रभु क्रिपा करे हरि जापहु सुख फल हरि जन पावहु ॥

The Lord God will bestow His Grace, if you meditate on the Lord; O humble servant of the Lord, you shall obtain the fruit of peace.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਜਨ ਭਾਈ ਸੁਖ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ॥੧॥

nānku kahai suṇhu jan bhāī sukh sōhilṛā hari dhiāvhu ॥1॥

नानकु कहै सुणहु जन भाई सुख सोहिलड़ा हरि धिआवहु ॥१॥

Says Nanak, listen O humble Sibling of Destiny: meditate on the Lord, and find peace and pleasure. ||1||

ਸੁਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਭੀਨੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥

suṇi hari guṇ bhīnē sahji subhāē ॥

सुणि हरि गुण भीने सहजि सुभाए ॥

Hearing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, I am intuitively drenched with His Love.

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਹਜੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥

gurmati sahjē nāmu dhiāē ॥

गुरमति सहजे नामु धिआए ॥

Under Guru's Instruction, I meditate intuitively on the Naam.

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਭਉ ਭਾਗਾ ॥

jin kau dhuri likhiā tin guru miliā tin janam maraṇ bhau bhāgā ॥

जिन कउ धुरि लिखिआ तिन गुरु मिलिआ तिन जनम मरण भउ भागा ॥

Those who have such pre-ordained destiny, meet the Guru, and their fears of birth and death leave them.

ਅੰਦਰਹੁ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਖੋਈ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗਾ ॥

andrahu durmati dūjī khōī sō janu hari liv lāgā ॥

अंदरहु दुरमति दूजी खोई सो जनु हरि लिव लागा ॥

One who eliminates evil-mindedness and duality from within himself, that humble being lovingly focuses his mind on the Lord.

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕੀਨੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥

jin kau kripā kīnī mērai suāmī tin andinu hari guṇ gāē ॥

जिन कउ क्रिपा कीनी मेरै सुआमी तिन अनदिनु हरि गुण गाए ॥

Those, upon whom my Lord and Master bestows His Grace, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, night and day.

ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਭੀਨੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥੨॥

suṇi man bhīnē sahji subhāē ॥2॥

सुणि मन भीने सहजि सुभाए ॥२॥

Hearing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, I am intuitively drenched with His Love. ||2||

ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥

jug mahi rām nāmu nisatārā ॥

जुग महि राम नामु निसतारा ॥

In this age, emancipation comes only from the Lord's Name.

ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਉਪਜੈ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥

gur tē upjai sabdu vīchārā ॥

गुर ते उपजै सबदु वीचारा ॥

Contemplative meditation on the Word of the Shabad emanates from the Guru.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਪਾਏ ॥

gur sabdu vīchārā rām nāmu piārā jisu kirpā karē su pāē ॥

गुर सबदु वीचारा राम नामु पिआरा जिसु किरपा करे सु पाए ॥

Contemplating the Guru's Shabad, one comes to love the Lord's Name; he alone obtains it, unto whom the Lord shows Mercy.

ਸਹਜੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਗਵਾਏ ॥

sahjē guṇ gāvai dinu rātī kilvikh sabhi gavāē ॥

सहजे गुण गावै दिनु राती किलविख सभि गवाए ॥

In peace and poise, he sings the Lord's Praises day and night, and all sins are eradicated.

ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਹਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥

sabhu kō tērā tū sabhanā kā hau tērā tū hamārā ॥

सभु को तेरा तू सभना का हउ तेरा तू हमारा ॥

All are Yours, and You belong to all. I am Yours, and You are mine.

ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥੩॥

jug mahi rām nāmu nisatārā ॥3॥

जुग महि राम नामु निसतारा ॥३॥

In this age, emancipation comes only from the Lord's Name. ||3||

ਸਾਜਨ ਆਇ ਵੁਠੇ ਘਰ ਮਾਹੀ ॥

sājan āi vuṭhē ghar māhī ॥

साजन आइ वुठे घर माही ॥

The Lord, my Friend has come to dwell within the home of my heart;

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਹੀ ॥

hari guṇ gāvahi tripti aghāhī ॥

हरि गुण गावहि त्रिपति अघाही ॥

Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, one is satisfied and fulfilled.

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਸਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਭੂਖ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਏ ॥

hari guṇ gāi sadā triptāsī phiri bhūkh na lāgai āē ॥

हरि गुण गाइ सदा त्रिपतासी फिरि भूख न लागै आए ॥

Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, one is satisfied forever, never to feel hunger again.

ਦਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਪੂਜ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥

dah disi pūj hōvai hari jan kī jō hari hari nāmu dhiāē ॥

दह दिसि पूज होवै हरि जन की जो हरि हरि नामु धिआए ॥

That humble servant of the Lord, who meditates on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is worshipped in the ten directions.

ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਜੋੜਿ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਕੋ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

nānak hari āpē jōṛi vichhōṛē hari binu kō dūjā nāhī ॥

नानक हरि आपे जोड़ि विछोड़े हरि बिनु को दूजा नाही ॥

O Nanak, He Himself joins and separates; there is no other than the Lord.

ਸਾਜਨ ਆਇ ਵੁਠੇ ਘਰ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੪॥੧॥

sājan āi vuṭhē ghar māhī ॥4॥1॥

साजन आइ वुठे घर माही ॥४॥१॥

The Lord, my Friend has come to dwell within the home of my heart. ||4||1||
