ਸਚੀ ਖਸਮ ਰਜਾਇ ਭਾਣਾ ਭਾਵਣਾ॥

ਸਚੀ ਖਸਮ ਰਜਾਇ ਭਾਣਾ ਭਾਵਣਾ॥

sachī khasam rajāi bhāṇā bhāvṇā॥

सची खसम रजाइ भाणा भावणा॥

Gurmukhs accept the will of that Lord as truth and they love His will.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੈਰੀ ਪਾਇ ਆਪੁ ਗੁਵਾਵਣਾ॥

satigur pairī pāi āpu guvāvṇā॥

सतिगुर पैरी पाइ आपु गुवावणा॥

Bowing at the feet of the true Guru, they shed their sense of ego.

ਗੁਰ ਚੇਲਾ ਪਰਚਾਇ ਮਨੁ ਪਤੀਆਵਣਾ॥

gur chēlā parchāi manu patīāvṇā॥

गुर चेला परचाइ मनु पतीआवणा॥

As disciples, they please the Guru and the heart of the Gum becomes happy.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਨ ਅਲਖ ਲਖਾਵਣਾ॥

gurmukhi sahji subhāi na alakh lakhāvṇā॥

गुरमुखि सहजि सुभाइ न अलख लखावणा॥

The gurmukh realises the imperceptible Lord spontaneously.

ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਤਿਲ ਨ ਤਮਾਇ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਣਾ॥

gursikh til na tamāi kār kamāvṇā॥

गुरसिख तिल न तमाइ कार कमावणा॥

The Sikh of Guru has no greed at all and he earns his livelihood by the labour of his hands.

ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮਨਾਵਣਾ॥

sabad surti liv lāi hukmu manāvṇā॥

सबद सुरति लिव लाइ हुकमु मनावणा॥

Merging his consciousness into the word he obeys the commands of the Lord.

ਵੀਹ ਇਕੀਹ ਲੰਘਾਇ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਵਣਾ॥

vīh ikīh laṅghāi nij ghari jāvṇā॥

वीह इकीह लंघाइ निज घरि जावणा॥

Crossing beyond the worldly illusions he abides in his own real self.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਪਾਇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਾ ॥੧੧॥

gurmukhi sukh phal pāi sahji samāvṇā ॥11॥

गुरमुखि सुख फल पाइ सहजि समावणा ॥११॥

This way, the gurmukhs having attained the pleasure fruit absorb themselves in equipoise.
