Fourth Mehl:

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਤਾਮਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੀ ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਢੰਢੋਲੇ ॥

sōrṭhi tāmi suhāvṇī jā hari nāmu ḍhaṇḍhōlē ॥

सोरठि तामि सुहावणी जा हरि नामु ढंढोले ॥

Sorat'h is beautiful only when it leads the soul-bride to seek the Lord's Name.

ਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਨਾਵੈ ਆਪਣਾ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲੇ ॥

gur purkhu manāvai āpaṇā gurmatī hari hari bōlē ॥

गुर पुरखु मनावै आपणा गुरमती हरि हरि बोले ॥

She pleases her Guru and God; under Guru's Instruction, she speaks the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਕਸਾਈ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਚੋਲੇ ॥

hari prēmi kasāī dinsu rāti hari ratī hari raṅgi chōlē ॥

हरि प्रेमि कसाई दिनसु राति हरि रती हरि रंगि चोले ॥

She is attracted to the Lord's Name, day and night, and her body is drenched in the color of the Love of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਹਰਿ ਜੈਸਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਲਭਈ ਸਭੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਗਤੁ ਮੈ ਟੋਲੇ ॥

hari jaisā purkhu na labhī sabhu dēkhiā jagtu mai ṭōlē ॥

हरि जैसा पुरखु न लभई सभु देखिआ जगतु मै टोले ॥

No other being like the Lord God can be found; I have looked and searched over the whole world.

ਗੁਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਮਨੁ ਅਨਤ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਡੋਲੇ ॥

guri satiguri nāmu driṛāiā manu anat na kāhū ḍōlē ॥

गुरि सतिगुरि नामु द्रिड़ाइआ मनु अनत न काहू डोले ॥

The Guru, the True Guru, has implanted the Naam within me; my mind does not waver any more.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਗੋਲ ਗੋਲੇ ॥੨॥

janu nānku hari kā dāsu hai gur satigur kē gōl gōlē ॥2॥

जनु नानकु हरि का दासु है गुर सतिगुर के गोल गोले ॥२॥

Servant Nanak is the Lord's slave, the slave of the slaves of the Guru, the True Guru. ||2||
