सूही महला ५ ॥

Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਸੂਖ ਮਹਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਊਚ ਦੁਆਰੇ ॥

sūkh mahal jā kē ūch duārē ॥

सूख महल जा के ऊच दुआरे ॥

His Mansions are so comfortable, and His gates are so lofty.

ਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਵਾਸਹਿ ਭਗਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧॥

tā mahi vāsahi bhagat piārē ॥1॥

ता महि वासहि भगत पिआरे ॥१॥

Within them, His beloved devotees dwell. ||1||

ਸਹਜ ਕਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਅਤਿ ਮੀਠੀ ॥

sahaj kathā prabh kī ati mīṭhī ॥

सहज कथा प्रभ की अति मीठी ॥

The Natural Speech of God is so very sweet.

ਵਿਰਲੈ ਕਾਹੂ ਨੇਤ੍ਰਹੁ ਡੀਠੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

virlai kāhū nētrhu ḍīṭhī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

विरलै काहू नेत्रहु डीठी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

How rare is that person, who sees it with his eyes. ||1||Pause||

ਤਹ ਗੀਤ ਨਾਦ ਅਖਾਰੇ ਸੰਗਾ ॥

tah gīt nād akhārē saṅgā ॥

तह गीत नाद अखारे संगा ॥

There, in the arena of the congregation, the divine music of the Naad, the sound current, is sung.

ਊਹਾ ਸੰਤ ਕਰਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਾ ॥੨॥

ūhā sant karahi hari raṅgā ॥2॥

ऊहा संत करहि हरि रंगा ॥२॥

There, the Saints celebrate with their Lord. ||2||

ਤਹ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਜੀਵਣੁ ਸੋਗੁ ਨ ਹਰਖਾ ॥

tah marṇu na jīvṇu sōgu na harkhā ॥

तह मरणु न जीवणु सोगु न हरखा ॥

Neither birth nor death is there, neither pain nor pleasure.

ਸਾਚ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਰਖਾ ॥੩॥

sāc nām kī ammrit varkhā ॥3॥

साच नाम की अंम्रित वरखा ॥३॥

The Ambrosial Nectar of the True Name rains down there. ||3||

ਗੁਹਜ ਕਥਾ ਇਹ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਜਾਣੀ ॥

guhaj kathā ih gur tē jāṇī ॥

गुहज कथा इह गुर ते जाणी ॥

From the Guru, I have come to know the mystery of this speech.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੨॥

nānku bōlai hari hari bāṇī ॥4॥6॥12॥

नानकु बोलै हरि हरि बाणी ॥४॥६॥१२॥

Nanak speaks the Bani of the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||6||12||
