ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਨਾ ਨਾਠਾ ਦੁਖ ਠਾਉ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਨਾ ਨਾਠਾ ਦੁਖ ਠਾਉ ॥

simri simri prabhu āpanā nāṭhā dukh ṭhāu ॥

सिमरि सिमरि प्रभु आपना नाठा दुख ठाउ ॥

Remembering, remembering my God in meditation, the house of pain is removed.

ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਪਾਏ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਧਾਉ ॥੧॥

bisrām pāē mili sādhsaṅgi tā tē bahuṛi na dhāu ॥1॥

बिस्राम पाए मिलि साधसंगि ता ते बहुड़ि न धाउ ॥१॥

Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I have found peace and tranquility; I shall not wander away from there again. ||1||

ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਨੇ ਚਰਨਨ੍‍ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥

balihārī gur āpnē charnan‍ bali jāu ॥

बलिहारी गुर आपने चरनन्‍ बलि जाउ ॥

I am devoted to my Guru; I am a sacrifice to His Feet.

ਅਨਦ ਸੂਖ ਮੰਗਲ ਬਨੇ ਪੇਖਤ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

anad sūkh maṅgal banē pēkhat gun gāu ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

अनद सूख मंगल बने पेखत गुन गाउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I am blessed with ecstasy, peace and happiness, gazing upon the Guru, and singing the Lord's Glorious Praises. ||1||Pause||

ਕਥਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਰਾਗ ਨਾਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਬਨਿਓ ਸੁਆਉ ॥

kathā kīrtanu rāg nād dhuni ihu baniō suāu ॥

कथा कीरतनु राग नाद धुनि इहु बनिओ सुआउ ॥

This is my life's purpose, to sing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, and listen to the vibrations of the sound current of the Naad.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਭਏ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਉ ॥੨॥੬॥੭੦॥

nānak prabh suprasann bhaē bāñchhat phal pāu ॥2॥6॥70॥

नानक प्रभ सुप्रसंन भए बांछत फल पाउ ॥२॥६॥७०॥

O Nanak, God is totally pleased with me; I have obtained the fruits of my desires. ||2||6||70||
