ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਚਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ਅਥਾਹੁ ਸਹਾਬਾ॥

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਚਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ਅਥਾਹੁ ਸਹਾਬਾ॥

satigur sachā pātisāhu bēpravāhu athāhu sahābā॥

सतिगुर सचा पातिसाहु बेपरवाहु अथाहु सहाबा॥

The true Guru is the carefree emperor, unfathomable and full of all qualities of a master.

ਨਾਉ ਗਰੀਬ ਨਿਵਾਜੁ ਹੈ ਬੇਮੁਹਤਾਜ ਨ ਮੋਹੁ ਮੁਹਾਬਾ॥

nāu garīb nivāju hai bēmuhtāj na mōhu muhābā॥

नाउ गरीब निवाजु है बेमुहताज न मोहु मुहाबा॥

His name is cherisher of the poor; neither He has attachment with any one nor He is dependent on anybody.

ਬੇਸੁਮਾਰੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਸਲਾਹ ਸਿਾਬਾ॥

bēsumāru nirṅkāru hai alakh apāru salāh sābā॥

बेसुमारु निरंकारु है अलख अपारु सलाह सिाबा॥

Formless, infinite and imperceptible, he is having all the attributes which deserve eulogization.

ਕਾਇਮੁ ਦਾਇਮੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੀ ਹਾਜਰੁ ਨਾਜਰੁ ਵੇਦ ਕਿਤਾਬਾ॥

kāimu dāimu sāhibī hājru nājru vēd kitābā॥

काइमु दाइमु साहिबी हाजरु नाजरु वेद किताबा॥

The mastery of the true Guru is eternal because all the Vedas etc. area always present before Him (for His praises).

ਅਗਮੁ ਅਡੋਲੁ ਅਤੋਲੁ ਹੈ ਤੋਲਣਹਾਰੁ ਨ ਡੰਡੀ ਛਾਬਾ॥

agmu aḍōlu atōlu hai tōlṇahāru na ḍaṇḍī chhābā॥

अगमु अडोलु अतोलु है तोलणहारु न डंडी छाबा॥

The true Guru is beyond all measures; He cannot be weighed on any scale.

ਇਕੁ ਛਤਿ ਰਾਜੁ ਕਮਾਂਵਦਾ ਦੁਸਮਣੁ ਦੂਤੁ ਨ ਸੋਰ ਸਰਾਬਾ॥

iku chhati rāju kamāṃvdā dusmaṇu dūtu na sōr sarābā॥

इकु छति राजु कमांवदा दुसमणु दूतु न सोर सराबा॥

Uniform is His kingdom wherein there is no enemy, no friend and no noisy clamour.

ਆਦਲੁ ਅਦਲੁ ਚਲਾਇਦਾ ਜਾਲਮੁ ਜੁਲਮੁ ਨ ਜੋਰ ਜਰਾਬਾ॥

ādlu adlu chalāidā jālmu julmu na jōr jarābā॥

आदलु अदलु चलाइदा जालमु जुलमु न जोर जराबा॥

The true Guru is judicious; dispenses justice and in His kingdom no atrocity and tyranny is exacted.

ਜਾਹਰ ਪੀਰ ਜਗਤੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਬਾਬਾ ॥੩॥

jāhar pīr jagtu guru bābā ॥3॥

जाहर पीर जगतु गुरु बाबा ॥३॥

Such a grand Guru (Nanak) is the manifest spiritual teacher of the whole world.
