ਰਾਗੁ ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਚਉਪਦੇ ਦੁਪਦੇ ਘਰੁ ੭

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl, Chau-Padas And Du-Padas, Seventh House:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik-ōṅkār satigur prasādi ॥

ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਉਜਾਰੋ ਦੀਪਾ ॥

satigur sabdi ujārō dīpā ॥

सतिगुर सबदि उजारो दीपा ॥

The Shabad, the Word of the True Guru, is the light of the lamp.

ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਤਿਹ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਰਤਨ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਖੁਲ੍‍ੀ ਅਨੂਪਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

binsiō andhkār tih mandri ratan kōṭhṛī khulī anūpā ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

बिनसिओ अंधकार तिह मंदरि रतन कोठड़ी खुल्‍ी अनूपा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

It dispels the darkness from the body-mansion, and opens the beautiful chamber of jewels. ||1||Pause||

ਬਿਸਮਨ ਬਿਸਮ ਭਏ ਜਉ ਪੇਖਿਓ ਕਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥

bisman bisam bhaē jau pēkhiō kahnu na jāi vaḍiāī ॥

बिसमन बिसम भए जउ पेखिओ कहनु न जाइ वडिआई ॥

I was wonderstruck and astonished, when I looked inside; I cannot even describe its glory and grandeur.

ਮਗਨ ਭਏ ਊਹਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਾਤੇ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਲਪਟਾਈ ॥੧॥

magan bhaē ūhā saṅgi mātē ōti pōti lapṭāī ॥1॥

मगन भए ऊहा संगि माते ओति पोति लपटाई ॥१॥

I am intoxicated and enraptured with it, and I am wrapped in it, through and through. ||1||

ਆਲ ਜਾਲ ਨਹੀ ਕਛੂ ਜੰਜਾਰਾ ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਨਹੀ ਭੋਰਾ ॥

āl jāl nahī kachhū jañjārā ahmbudhi nahī bhōrā ॥

आल जाल नही कछू जंजारा अहंबुधि नही भोरा ॥

No worldly entanglements or snares can trap me, and no trace of egotistical pride remains.

ਊਚਨ ਊਚਾ ਬੀਚੁ ਨ ਖੀਚਾ ਹਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਮੋਰਾ ॥੨॥

ūchhan ūchhā bīchu na khīchā hau tērā tūṃ mōrā ॥2॥

ऊचन ऊचा बीचु न खीचा हउ तेरा तूं मोरा ॥२॥

You are the highest of the high, and no curtain separates us; I am Yours, and You are mine. ||2||

ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ਏਕੁ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ ਏਕੈ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥

ēkṅkāru ēku pāsārā ēkai apar apārā ॥

एकंकारु एकु पासारा एकै अपर अपारा ॥

The One Creator Lord created the expanse of the one universe; the One Lord is unlimited and infinite.

ਏਕੁ ਬਿਸਥੀਰਨੁ ਏਕੁ ਸੰਪੂਰਨੁ ਏਕੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੩॥

ēku bisthīrnu ēku sampūrnu ēkai prān adhārā ॥3॥

एकु बिसथीरनु एकु संपूरनु एकै प्रान अधारा ॥३॥

The One Lord pervades the one universe; the One Lord is totally permeating everywhere; the One Lord is the Support of the breath of life. ||3||

ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੂਚਾ ਸੂਚੋ ਸੂਚਾ ਸੂਚੋ ਸੂਚਾ ॥

nirmal nirmal sūchhā sūchhō sūchhā sūchhō sūchhā ॥

निरमल निरमल सूचा सूचो सूचा सूचो सूचा ॥

He is the most immaculate of the immaculate, the purest of the pure, so pure, so pure.

ਅੰਤ ਨ ਅੰਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਬੇਅੰਤਾ ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਊਚੋ ਊਚਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੮੭॥

ant na antā sadā bēantā kahu nānak ūchhō ūchhā ॥4॥1॥87॥

अंत न अंता सदा बेअंता कहु नानक ऊचो ऊचा ॥४॥१॥८७॥

He has no end or limitation; He is forever unlimited. Says Nanak, He is the highest of the high. ||4||1||87||
