ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ ਮਿਟੀ ਧੁੰਧ ਜਗ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋਆ॥

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ ਮਿਟੀ ਧੁੰਧ ਜਗ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋਆ॥

satigur nānak pragṭiā miṭī dhundh jag chānaṇ hōā॥

सतिगुर नानक प्रगटिआ मिटी धुंध जग चानण होआ॥

With the emergence of the true Guru Nanak, the mist cleared and the light scattered all around.

ਜਿਉਂ ਕਰ ਸੂਰਜ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਤਾਰੇ ਛਪੇ ਅੰਧੇਰ ਪਲੋਆ॥

jiuṃ kar sūraj nikliā tārē chhapē andhēr palōā॥

जिउं कर सूरज निकलिआ तारे छपे अंधेर पलोआ॥

As if at the sun rise the stars disappeared and the darkness dispelled.

ਸਿੰਘ ਬੁਕੇ ਮਿਰਗਾਵਲੀ ਭੰਨੀ ਜਾਏ ਨ ਧੀਰ ਧਰੋਆ॥

siṅgh bukē mirgāvlī bhannī jāē na dhīr dharōā॥

सिंघ बुके मिरगावली भंनी जाए न धीर धरोआ॥

With the roar of the lion in the forest the flocks of escaping deer now cannot have endurance.

ਜਿਥੈ ਬਾਬਾ ਪੈਰ ਧਰੈ ਪੂਜਾ ਆਸਣ ਥਾਪਣ ਸੋਆ॥

jithai bābā pair dharai pūjā āsaṇ thāpaṇ sōā॥

जिथै बाबा पैर धरै पूजा आसण थापण सोआ॥

Wherever Baba put his feet, a religious place was erected and established.

ਸਿਧ ਆਸਣ ਸਭ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਦ ਮਤੇ ਜੇ ਕੋਆ॥

sidh āsaṇ sabh jagat dē nānak ād matē jē kōā॥

सिध आसण सभ जगत दे नानक आद मते जे कोआ॥

All the siddh-places now have been renamed on the name of Nanak.

ਘਰ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਧਰਮਸਾਲ ਹੋਵੈ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸਦਾ ਵਿਸੋਆ॥

ghar ghar andar dharmasāl hōvai kīratan sadā visōā॥

घर घर अंदर धरमसाल होवै कीरतन सदा विसोआ॥

Everyhome has become a place of dharma where singing.

ਬਾਬੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਚਾਰ ਚਕ ਨੌ ਖੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ ਸਚਾ ਢੋਆ॥

bābē tārē chār chak nau khaṇḍ prithmī sachā ḍhōā॥

बाबे तारे चार चक नौ खंड प्रिथमी सचा ढोआ॥

Baba liberated all four directions and nine divisions of earth.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਕਲਿ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਆ ॥੨੭॥

gurmukh kali vic pargaṭ hōā ॥27॥

गुरमुख कलि विच परगट होआ ॥२७॥

Gurmukh (Guru Nanak) has emerged in this kaliyug, the dark age.
