Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:

ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਨਾਮ ॥

ratan javēhar nām ॥

रतन जवेहर नाम ॥

The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is a jewel, a ruby.

ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਗਿਆਨ ॥

satu santōkhu giān ॥

सतु संतोखु गिआन ॥

It brings Truth, contentment and spiritual wisdom.

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਦਇਆ ਕਾ ਪੋਤਾ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਹਵਾਲੈ ਹੋਤਾ ॥੧॥

sūkh sahaj daiā kā pōtā ॥ hari bhagtā havālai hōtā ॥1॥

सूख सहज दइआ का पोता ॥ हरि भगता हवालै होता ॥१॥

The Lord entrusts the treasures of peace, intuition and kindness to His devotees. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਭੰਡਾਰੁ ॥

mērē rām kō bhaṇḍāru ॥

मेरे राम को भंडारु ॥

This is the treasure of my Lord.

ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਿ ਕਛੁ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

khāt kharchi kachhu tōṭi na āvai antu nahī hari pārāvāru ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

खात खरचि कछु तोटि न आवै अंतु नही हरि पारावारु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Consuming and expending it, it is never used up. The Lord has no end or limitation. ||1||Pause||

ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕ ਹੀਰਾ ॥

kīrtanu nirmōlak hīrā ॥

कीरतनु निरमोलक हीरा ॥

The Kirtan of the Lord's Praise is a priceless diamond.

ਆਨੰਦ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥

ānand guṇī gahīrā ॥

आनंद गुणी गहीरा ॥

It is the ocean of bliss and virtue.

ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਣੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ॥

anhad bāṇī pūñjī ॥

अनहद बाणी पूंजी ॥

In the Word of the Guru's Bani is the wealth of the unstruck sound current.

ਸੰਤਨ ਹਥਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਕੂੰਜੀ ॥੨॥

santan hathi rākhī kūñjī ॥2॥

संतन हथि राखी कूंजी ॥२॥

The Saints hold the key to it in their hands. ||2||

ਸੁੰਨ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਗੁਫਾ ਤਹ ਆਸਨੁ ॥

sunn samādhi guphā tah āsnu ॥

सुंन समाधि गुफा तह आसनु ॥

They sit there, in the cave of deep Samaadhi;

ਕੇਵਲ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਹ ਬਾਸਨੁ ॥

kēval braham pūran tah bāsnu ॥

केवल ब्रहम पूरन तह बासनु ॥

The unique, perfect Lord God dwells there.

ਭਗਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਕਰਤ ॥

bhagat saṅgi prabhu gōsṭi karat ॥

भगत संगि प्रभु गोसटि करत ॥

God holds conversations with His devotees.

ਤਹ ਹਰਖ ਨ ਸੋਗ ਨ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਮਰਤ ॥੩॥

tah harakh na sōg na janam na marat ॥3॥

तह हरख न सोग न जनम न मरत ॥३॥

There is no pleasure or pain, no birth or death there. ||3||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ ॥

kari kirpā jisu āpi divāiā ॥

करि किरपा जिसु आपि दिवाइआ ॥

One whom the Lord Himself blesses with His Mercy,

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

sādhsaṅgi tini hari dhanu pāiā ॥

साधसंगि तिनि हरि धनु पाइआ ॥

Obtains the Lord's wealth in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਦਇਆਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥

daiāl purakh nānak ardāsi ॥

दइआल पुरख नानक अरदासि ॥

Nanak prays to the merciful Primal Lord;

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਵਰਤਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥੪॥੨੪॥੩੫॥

hari mērī vartaṇi hari mērī rāsi ॥4॥24॥35॥

हरि मेरी वरतणि हरि मेरी रासि ॥४॥२४॥३५॥

The Lord is my merchandise, and the Lord is my capital. ||4||24||35||
