ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਚਲੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਛਲੇ ਕਨਿਕ ਕਾਮਿਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

rūp raṅg sugandh bhōg tiāgi chalē māiā chhalē kanik kāminī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

रूप रंग सुगंध भोग तिआगि चले माइआ छले कनिक कामिनी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

You must abandon your beauty, pleasures, fragrances and enjoyments; beguiled by gold and sexual desire, you must still leave Maya behind. ||1||Pause||

ਭੰਡਾਰ ਦਰਬ ਅਰਬ ਖਰਬ ਪੇਖਿ ਲੀਲਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਧਾਰੈ ॥

bhaṇḍār darab arab kharab pēkhi līlā manu sadhārai ॥

भंडार दरब अरब खरब पेखि लीला मनु सधारै ॥

You gaze upon billions and trillions of treasures and riches, which delight and comfort your mind,

ਨਹ ਸੰਗਿ ਗਾਮਨੀ ॥੧॥

nah saṅgi gāmnī ॥1॥

नह संगि गामनी ॥१॥

But these will not go along with you. ||1||

ਸੁਤ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਮੀਤ ਉਰਝਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਭਰਮਿ ਮੋਹਿਓ ਇਹ ਬਿਰਖ ਛਾਮਨੀ ॥

sut kalatr bhrāt mīt urjhi pariō bharmi mōhiō ih birakh chhāmnī ॥

सुत कलत्र भ्रात मीत उरझि परिओ भरमि मोहिओ इह बिरख छामनी ॥

Entangled with children, spouse, siblings and friends, you are enticed and fooled; these pass like the shadow of a tree.

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਰਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਸੰਤ ਭਾਵਨੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੬੦॥

charan kamal saran nānak sukhu sant bhāvnī ॥2॥2॥60॥

चरन कमल सरन नानक सुखु संत भावनी ॥२॥२॥६०॥

Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of His lotus feet; He has found peace in the faith of the Saints. ||2||2||60||
