ਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਨਿਲਜ ਲਾਜ ਤੁੋਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

ਗਉੜੀ ਭੀ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਭੀ ॥

gauṛī bhī sōrṭhi bhī ॥

गउड़ी भी सोरठि भी ॥

Gauree And Also Sorat'h:

ਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਨਿਲਜ ਲਾਜ ਤੁੋਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

rē jīa nilaj lāj tōhi nāhī ॥

रे जीअ निलज लाज तुोहि नाही ॥

O shameless being, don't you feel ashamed?

ਹਰਿ ਤਜਿ ਕਤ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

hari taji kat kāhū kē jāṃhī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

हरि तजि कत काहू के जांही ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

You have forsaken the Lord - now where will you go? Unto whom will you turn? ||1||Pause||

ਜਾ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਊਚਾ ਹੋਈ ॥

jā kō ṭhākuru ūchhā hōī ॥

जा को ठाकुरु ऊचा होई ॥

One whose Lord and Master is the highest and most exalted

ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਪਰ ਘਰ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਸੋਹੀ ॥੧॥

sō janu par ghar jāt na sōhī ॥1॥

सो जनु पर घर जात न सोही ॥१॥

- it is not proper for him to go to the house of another. ||1||

ਸੋ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥

sō sāhibu rahiā bharpūri ॥

सो साहिबु रहिआ भरपूरि ॥

That Lord and Master is pervading everywhere.

ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ॥੨॥

sadā saṅgi nāhī hari dūri ॥2॥

सदा संगि नाही हरि दूरि ॥२॥

The Lord is always with us; He is never far away. ||2||

ਕਵਲਾ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਹੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ॥

kavlā charan saran hai jā kē ॥

कवला चरन सरन है जा के ॥

Even Maya takes to the Sanctuary of His Lotus Feet.

ਕਹੁ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਘਰ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥੩॥

kahu jan kā nāhī ghar tā kē ॥3॥

कहु जन का नाही घर ता के ॥३॥

Tell me, what is there which is not in His home? ||3||

ਸਭੁ ਕੋਊ ਕਹੈ ਜਾਸੁ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾ ॥

sabhu kōū kahai jāsu kī bātā ॥

सभु कोऊ कहै जासु की बाता ॥

Everyone speaks of Him; He is All-powerful.

ਸੋ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਥੁ ਨਿਜ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ॥੪॥

sō sammrthu nij pati hai dātā ॥4॥

सो संम्रथु निज पति है दाता ॥४॥

He is His Own Master; He is the Giver. ||4||

ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਗ ਸੋਈ ॥

kahai kabīru pūran jag sōī ॥

कहै कबीरु पूरन जग सोई ॥

Says Kabeer, he alone is perfect in this world,

ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੫॥੩੮॥

jā kē hirdai avru na hōī ॥5॥38॥

जा के हिरदै अवरु न होई ॥५॥३८॥

In whose heart there is none other than the Lord. ||5||38||
