ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਸਾਲੁ ਸਲਾਹਾ ॥

Jaitsree, Fourth Mehl:

ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਸਾਲੁ ਸਲਾਹਾ ॥

rasi rasi rāmu rasālu salāhā ॥

रसि रसि रामु रसालु सलाहा ॥

With love and energetic affection, praise the Lord, the storehouse of Nectar.

ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਭੀਨਾ ਲੈ ਲਾਹਾ ॥

manu rām nāmi bhīnā lai lāhā ॥

मनु राम नामि भीना लै लाहा ॥

My mind is drenched with the Lord's Name, and so it earns this profit.

ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥

khinu khinu bhagti karah dinu rātī gurmati bhagti umāhā rām ॥1॥

खिनु खिनु भगति करह दिनु राती गुरमति भगति ओुमाहा राम ॥१॥

Each and every moment, worship Him in devotion, day and night; through the Guru's Teachings, sincere love and devotion well up. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਜਪਾਹਾ ॥

hari hari guṇ gōvind japāhā ॥

हरि हरि गुण गोविंद जपाहा ॥

Chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, Har, Har.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਜੀਤਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਲੈ ਲਾਹਾ ॥

manu tanu jīti sabdu lai lāhā ॥

मनु तनु जीति सबदु लै लाहा ॥

Conquering mind and body, I have earned the profit of the Shabad.

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਵਸਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਓਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥

gurmati pañc dūt vasi āvahi mani tani hari ōmāhā rām ॥2॥

गुरमति पंच दूत वसि आवहि मनि तनि हरि ओमाहा राम ॥२॥

Through the Guru's Teachings, the five demons are over-powered, and the mind and body are filled with a sincere yearning for the Lord. ||2||

ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਹਾ ॥

nāmu ratnu hari nāmu japāhā ॥

नामु रतनु हरि नामु जपाहा ॥

The Name is a jewel - chant the Lord's Name.

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਸਦਾ ਲੈ ਲਾਹਾ ॥

hari guṇ gāi sadā lai lāhā ॥

हरि गुण गाइ सदा लै लाहा ॥

Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and forever earn this profit.

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਧੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੩॥

dīn daiāl kripā kari mādhō hari hari nāmu umāhā rām ॥3॥

दीन दइआल क्रिपा करि माधो हरि हरि नामु ओुमाहा राम ॥३॥

O Lord, merciful to the meek, be kind to me, and bless me with sincere longing for the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||

ਜਪਿ ਜਗਦੀਸੁ ਜਪਉ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਾ ॥

japi jagdīsu japau man māhā ॥

जपि जगदीसु जपउ मन माहा ॥

Meditate on the Lord of the world - meditate within your mind.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਗੰਨਾਥੁ ਜਗਿ ਲਾਹਾ ॥

hari hari jagnnāthu jagi lāhā ॥

हरि हरि जगंनाथु जगि लाहा ॥

The Lord of the Universe, Har, Har, is the only real profit in this world.

ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਵਡੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਿ ਓਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੪॥੩॥੯॥

dhanu dhanu vaḍē ṭhākur prabh mērē japi nānak bhagti ōmāhā rām ॥4॥3॥9॥

धनु धनु वडे ठाकुर प्रभ मेरे जपि नानक भगति ओमाहा राम ॥४॥३॥९॥

Blessed, blessed, is my Great Lord and Master God; O Nanak, meditate on Him, worship Him with sincere love and devotion. ||4||3||9||
