ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਜੋ ਜਨ ਗੀਧੇ ॥

ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

गउड़ी महला ५ ॥

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਜੋ ਜਨ ਗੀਧੇ ॥

rām rasāiṇi jō jan gīdhē ॥

राम रसाइणि जो जन गीधे ॥

Those humble beings who are accustomed to the Lord's sublime essence,

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤੀ ਬੀਧੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

charan kamal prēm bhagtī bīdhē ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

चरन कमल प्रेम भगती बीधे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Are pierced through with loving devotional worship of the Lord's Lotus Feet. ||1||Pause||

ਆਨ ਰਸਾ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਛਾਰੁ ॥

ān rasā dīsahi sabhi chhāru ॥

आन रसा दीसहि सभि छारु ॥

All other pleasures look like ashes;

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥੧॥

nām binā nihphal saṃsār ॥1॥

नाम बिना निहफल संसार ॥१॥

Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the world is fruitless. ||1||

ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਕਾਢੇ ਆਪਿ ॥

andh kūp tē kāḍhē āpi ॥

अंध कूप ते काढे आपि ॥

He Himself rescues us from the deep dark well.

ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਚਰਜ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥੨॥

guṇ gōvind acraj partāp ॥2॥

गुण गोविंद अचरज परताप ॥२॥

Wondrous and Glorious are the Praises of the Lord of the Universe. ||2||

ਵਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥

vaṇi triṇi tribhvaṇi pūran gōpāl ॥

वणि त्रिणि त्रिभवणि पूरन गोपाल ॥

In the woods and meadows, and throughout the three worlds, the Sustainer of the Universe is pervading.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਸਾਰੁ ਜੀਅ ਸੰਗਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੩॥

braham pasāru jīa saṅgi daiāl ॥3॥

ब्रहम पसारु जीअ संगि दइआल ॥३॥

The Expansive Lord God is Merciful to all beings. ||3||

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾ ਕਥਨੀ ਸਾਰੁ ॥

kahu nānak sā kathnī sāru ॥

कहु नानक सा कथनी सारु ॥

Says Nanak, that speech alone is excellent,

ਮਾਨਿ ਲੇਤੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੯੪॥੧੬੩॥

māni lētu jisu sirjanhāru ॥4॥94॥163॥

मानि लेतु जिसु सिरजनहारु ॥४॥९४॥१६३॥

Which is approved by the Creator Lord. ||4||94||163||
