ਰਾਜਾਸ੍ਰਮ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਤੇਰੀ ॥

ਰਾਜਾਸ੍ਰਮ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਤੇਰੀ ॥

rājāsram miti nahī jānī tērī ॥

राजास्रम मिति नही जानी तेरी ॥

I do not know the limits of Your Royal Ashram.

ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਹਉ ਚੇਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

tērē santan kī hau chērī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

तेरे संतन की हउ चेरी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I am the humble slave of Your Saints. ||1||Pause||

ਹਸਤੋ ਜਾਇ ਸੁ ਰੋਵਤੁ ਆਵੈ ਰੋਵਤੁ ਜਾਇ ਸੁ ਹਸੈ ॥

hastō jāi su rōvtu āvai rōvtu jāi su hasai ॥

हसतो जाइ सु रोवतु आवै रोवतु जाइ सु हसै ॥

The one who goes laughing returns crying, and the one who goes crying returns laughing.

ਬਸਤੋ ਹੋਇ ਹੋਇ ਸੁੋ ਊਜਰੁ ਊਜਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਬਸੈ ॥੧॥

bastō hōi hōi sō ūjru ūjru hōi su basai ॥1॥

बसतो होइ होइ सुो ऊजरु ऊजरु होइ सु बसै ॥१॥

What is inhabited becomes deserted, and what is deserted becomes inhabited. ||1||

ਜਲ ਤੇ ਥਲ ਕਰਿ ਥਲ ਤੇ ਕੂਆ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੁ ਕਰਾਵੈ ॥

jal tē thal kari thal tē kūā kūp tē mēru karāvai ॥

जल ते थल करि थल ते कूआ कूप ते मेरु करावै ॥

The water turns into a desert, the desert turns into a well, and the well turns into a mountain.

ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਕਾਸਿ ਚਢਾਵੈ ਚਢੇ ਅਕਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਵੈ ॥੨॥

dhartī tē ākāsi chaḍhāvai chaḍhē akāsi girāvai ॥2॥

धरती ते आकासि चढावै चढे अकासि गिरावै ॥२॥

From the earth, the mortal is exalted to the Akaashic ethers; and from the ethers on high, he is thrown down again. ||2||

ਭੇਖਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਰਾਜੁ ਕਰਾਵੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਤੇ ਭੇਖਾਰੀ ॥

bhēkhārī tē rāju karāvai rājā tē bhēkhārī ॥

भेखारी ते राजु करावै राजा ते भेखारी ॥

The beggar is transformed into a king, and the king into a beggar.

ਖਲ ਮੂਰਖ ਤੇ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਕਰਿਬੋ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਤੇ ਮੁਗਧਾਰੀ ॥੩॥

khal mūrakh tē paṇḍitu karibō paṇḍit tē mugdhārī ॥3॥

खल मूरख ते पंडितु करिबो पंडित ते मुगधारी ॥३॥

The idiotic fool is transformed into a Pandit, a religious scholar, and the Pandit into a fool. ||3||

ਨਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਕਰਾਵੈ ਪੁਰਖਨ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਨਾਰੀ ॥

nārī tē jō purkhu karāvai purkhan tē jō nārī ॥

नारी ते जो पुरखु करावै पुरखन ते जो नारी ॥

The woman is transformed into a man, and the men into women.

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੨॥

kahu kabīr sādhū kō prītmu tisu mūrti balihārī ॥4॥2॥

कहु कबीर साधू को प्रीतमु तिसु मूरति बलिहारी ॥४॥२॥

Says Kabeer, God is the Beloved of the Holy Saints. I am a sacrifice to His image. ||4||2||
