Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਰਾਜ ਲੀਲਾ ਤੇਰੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਬਨਾਈ ॥

rāj līlā tērai nāmi banāī ॥

राज लीला तेरै नामि बनाई ॥

The pleasures of royalty are derived from Your Name.

ਜੋਗੁ ਬਨਿਆ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਈ ॥੧॥

jōgu baniā tērā kīrtanu gāī ॥1॥

जोगु बनिआ तेरा कीरतनु गाई ॥१॥

I attain Yoga, singing the Kirtan of Your Praises. ||1||

ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਬਨੇ ਤੇਰੈ ਓਲ੍‍ੈ ॥

sarab sukhā banē tērai ōlai ॥

सरब सुखा बने तेरै ओल्‍ै ॥

All comforts are obtained in Your Shelter.

ਭ੍ਰਮ ਕੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਖੋਲ੍‍ੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhram kē pardē satigur khōlē ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

भ्रम के परदे सतिगुर खोल्‍े ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

The True Guru has removed the veil of doubt. ||1||Pause||

ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੂਝਿ ਰੰਗ ਰਸ ਮਾਣੇ ॥

hukmu būjhi raṅg ras māṇē ॥

हुकमु बूझि रंग रस माणे ॥

Understanding the Command of the Lord's Will, I revel in pleasure and joy.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਹਾ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੇ ॥੩॥

satigur sēvā mahā nirbāṇē ॥3॥

सतिगुर सेवा महा निरबाणे ॥३॥

Serving the True Guru, I obtain the supreme state of Nirvaanaa. ||2||

ਜਿਨਿ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਤਾ ਸੋ ਗਿਰਸਤ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥

jini tūṃ jātā sō girsat udāsī parvāṇu ॥

जिनि तूं जाता सो गिरसत उदासी परवाणु ॥

One who recognizes You is recognized as a householder, and as a renunciate.

ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤਾ ਸੋਈ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੁ ॥੨॥

nāmi ratā sōī nirbāṇu ॥2॥

नामि रता सोई निरबाणु ॥२॥

Imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, he dwells in Nirvaanaa. ||3||

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥

jā kau miliō nāmu nidhānā ॥

जा कउ मिलिओ नामु निधाना ॥

One who has obtained the treasure of the Naam

ਭਨਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਪੂਰ ਖਜਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੬॥੫੭॥

bhanti nānak tā kā pūr khajānā ॥4॥6॥57॥

भनति नानक ता का पूर खजाना ॥४॥६॥५७॥

- prays Nanak, his treasure-house is filled to overflowing. ||4||6||57||
