ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਬੇ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਲਾਗੀ ॥

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਬੇ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਲਾਗੀ ॥

prabh milbē kau prīti mani lāgī ॥

प्रभ मिलबे कउ प्रीति मनि लागी ॥

The loving desire to meet my Beloved has arisen within my mind.

ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੋਊ ਸੰਤੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਬਡਭਾਗੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

pāi lagau mōhi karau bēntī kōū santu milai baḍbhāgī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

पाइ लगउ मोहि करउ बेनती कोऊ संतु मिलै बडभागी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I touch His Feet, and offer my prayer to Him. If only I had the great good fortune to meet the Saint. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪਉ ਧਨੁ ਰਾਖਉ ਆਗੈ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥

manu arpau dhanu rākhau āgai man kī mati mōhi sagal tiāgī ॥

मनु अरपउ धनु राखउ आगै मन की मति मोहि सगल तिआगी ॥

I surrender my mind to Him; I place my wealth before Him. I totally renounce my selfish ways.

ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਫਿਰਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਿਛੈ ਵਿਰਾਗੀ ॥੧॥

jō prabh kī hari kathā sunāvai andinu phirau tisu pichhai virāgī ॥1॥

जो प्रभ की हरि कथा सुनावै अनदिनु फिरउ तिसु पिछै विरागी ॥१॥

One who teaches me the Sermon of the Lord God - night and day, I shall follow Him. ||1||

ਪੂਰਬ ਕਰਮ ਅੰਕੁਰ ਜਬ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਰਸਿਕ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥

pūrab karam aṅkur jab pragṭē bhēṭiō purkhu rasik bairāgī ॥

पूरब करम अंकुर जब प्रगटे भेटिओ पुरखु रसिक बैरागी ॥

When the seed of the karma of past actions sprouted, I met the Lord; He is both the Enjoyer and the Renunciate.

ਮਿਟਿਓ ਅੰਧੇਰੁ ਮਿਲਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੀ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਗੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੧੯॥

miṭiō andhēru milat hari nānak janam janam kī sōī jāgī ॥2॥2॥119॥

मिटिओ अंधेरु मिलत हरि नानक जनम जनम की सोई जागी ॥२॥२॥११९॥

My darkness was dispelled when I met the Lord. O Nanak, after being asleep for countless incarnations, I have awakened. ||2||2||119||
