ਪ੍ਰਾਤਹਕਾਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥

ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

सूही महला ५ ॥

Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਪ੍ਰਾਤਹਕਾਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥

prāthakāli hari nāmu uchārī ॥

प्रातहकालि हरि नामु उचारी ॥

In the early hours of the morning, I chant the Lord's Name.

ਈਤ ਊਤ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥

īt ūt kī ōṭ savārī ॥1॥

ईत ऊत की ओट सवारी ॥१॥

I have fashioned a shelter for myself, hear and hereafter. ||1||

ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ॥

sadā sadā japīai hari nām ॥

सदा सदा जपीऐ हरि नाम ॥

Forever and ever, I chant the Lord's Name,

ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

pūran hōvahi man kē kām ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

पूरन होवहि मन के काम ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

And the desires of my mind are fulfilled. ||1||Pause||

ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਗਾਉ ॥

prabhu abināsī raiṇi dinu gāu ॥

प्रभु अबिनासी रैणि दिनु गाउ ॥

Sing the Praises of the Eternal, Imperishable Lord God, night and day.

ਜੀਵਤ ਮਰਤ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਥਾਉ ॥੨॥

jīvat marat nihchalu pāvahi thāu ॥2॥

जीवत मरत निहचलु पावहि थाउ ॥२॥

In life, and in death, you shall find your eternal, unchanging home. ||2||

ਸੋ ਸਾਹੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥

sō sāhu sēvi jitu tōṭi na āvai ॥

सो साहु सेवि जितु तोटि न आवै ॥

So serve the Sovereign Lord, and you shall never lack anything.

ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਸੁਖਿ ਅਨਦਿ ਵਿਹਾਵੈ ॥੩॥

khāt kharchat sukhi andi vihāvai ॥3॥

खात खरचत सुखि अनदि विहावै ॥३॥

While eating and consuming, you shall pass your life in peace. ||3||

ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

jagjīvan purkhu sādhsaṅgi pāiā ॥

जगजीवन पुरखु साधसंगि पाइआ ॥

O Life of the World, O Primal Being, I have found the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੪॥੨੪॥੩੦॥

gur prasādi nānak nāmu dhiāiā ॥4॥24॥30॥

गुर प्रसादि नानक नामु धिआइआ ॥४॥२४॥३०॥

By Guru's Grace, O Nanak, I meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||24||30||
