ਪਿਉ ਦਾਦਾ ਪੜਦਾਦਿਅਹੁ ਕੁਲ ਦੀਪਕ ਅਜਰਾਵਰ ਨਤਾ॥

ਪਿਉ ਦਾਦਾ ਪੜਦਾਦਿਅਹੁ ਕੁਲ ਦੀਪਕ ਅਜਰਾਵਰ ਨਤਾ॥

piu dādā paṛdādihu kul dīpak ajrāvar natā॥

पिउ दादा पड़दादिअहु कुल दीपक अजरावर नता॥

Guru Arjan Dev is the lamp of the line of his father, grand father and great grand father.

ਤਖਤੁ ਬਖਤੁ ਲੈ ਮਲਿਆ ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਵਾਪਾਰਿ ਸਪਤਾ॥

takhtu bakhtu lai maliā sabad surti vāpāri sapatā॥

तखतु बखतु लै मलिआ सबद सुरति वापारि सपता॥

Having merged his consciousness into Word he in a dignified way has undertaken the task (of Guruship) and being blest st one, has assumed the authority of the throne (of the Lord).

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਭੰਡਾਰੁ ਭਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕਥਾ ਰਹੈ ਰੰਗ ਰਤਾ॥

gurbāṇī bhaṇḍāru bhari kīratan kathā rahai raṅg ratā॥

गुरबाणी भंडारु भरि कीरतन कथा रहै रंग रता॥

He is the storehouse of gurbdni (divine hymns) and remains absorbed in the eulogization (of the Lord).

ਧੁਨਿ ਅਨਹਦਿ ਨਿਝਰੁ ਝਰੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਅਮਿਓ ਰਸ ਮਤਾ॥

dhuni anhadi nijhru jharai pūran prēmi amiō ras matā॥

धुनि अनहदि निझरु झरै पूरन प्रेमि अमिओ रस मता॥

He allows the fountain of unstruck melody flow unabated and remains immersed in the nectar of perfect love.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਭਾ ਰਤਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਵਣਜ ਸਹਤਾ॥

sādhsaṅgti hai guru sabhā ratan padārath vaṇaj sahtā॥

साधसंगति है गुरु सभा रतन पदारथ वणज सहता॥

When the court of Guru assumes the form of holy congregation, the exchange of jewels and gems of wisdom takes place

ਸਚੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ਸਚੁ ਤਾਣੁ ਸਚੁ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਤਾ॥

sachu nīsāṇu dībāṇu sachu tāṇu sachu māṇ mahtā॥

सचु नीसाणु दीबाणु सचु ताणु सचु माण महता॥

The true court of Guru Arjan Dev is the true mark (of grandeur) and he has attained the true honour and greatness

ਅਬਚਲੁ ਰਾਜੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਣਖਤਾ ॥੧੯॥

abchalu rāju hōā saṇkhatā ॥19॥

अबचलु राजु होआ सणखता ॥१९॥

The kingdom of knowledgeable (Guru Arjan Dev) is immutable.
