One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਉਪਮਾ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਕਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਕਹੀ ॥

upmā jāt na kahī mērē prabh kī upmā jāt na kahī ॥

उपमा जात न कही मेरे प्रभ की उपमा जात न कही ॥

I cannot express the Praises of my God; I cannot express His Praises.

ਤਜਿ ਆਨ ਸਰਣਿ ਗਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

taji ān sarṇi gahī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

तजि आन सरणि गही ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I have abandoned all others, seeking His Sanctuary. ||1||Pause||

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਅਪਾਰ ॥

prabh charan kamal apār ॥

प्रभ चरन कमल अपार ॥

God's Lotus Feet are Infinite.

ਹਉ ਜਾਉ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ॥

hau jāu sad balihār ॥

हउ जाउ सद बलिहार ॥

I am forever a sacrifice to Them.

ਮਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਤਾਹਿ ॥

mani prīti lāgī tāhi ॥

मनि प्रीति लागी ताहि ॥

My mind is in love with Them.

ਤਜਿ ਆਨ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧॥

taji ān katahi na jāhi ॥1॥

तजि आन कतहि न जाहि ॥१॥

If I were to abandon Them, there is nowhere else I could go. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਨਾ ਕਹਨ ॥

hari nām rasnā kahan ॥

हरि नाम रसना कहन ॥

I chant the Lord's Name with my tongue.

ਮਲ ਪਾਪ ਕਲਮਲ ਦਹਨ ॥

mal pāp kalmal dahan ॥

मल पाप कलमल दहन ॥

The filth of my sins and evil mistakes is burnt off.

ਚੜਿ ਨਾਵ ਸੰਤ ਉਧਾਰਿ ॥

chaṛi nāv sant udhāri ॥

चड़ि नाव संत उधारि ॥

Climbing aboard the Boat of the Saints, I am emancipated.

ਭੈ ਤਰੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੨॥

bhai tarē sāgar pāri ॥2॥

भै तरे सागर पारि ॥२॥

I have been carried across the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||

ਮਨਿ ਡੋਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਰੀਤਿ ॥

mani ḍōri prēm parīti ॥

मनि डोरि प्रेम परीति ॥

My mind is tied to the Lord with the string of love and devotion.

ਇਹ ਸੰਤ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰੀਤਿ ॥

ih sant nirmal rīti ॥

इह संत निरमल रीति ॥

This is the Immaculate Way of the Saints.

ਤਜਿ ਗਏ ਪਾਪ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥

taji gaē pāp bikār ॥

तजि गए पाप बिकार ॥

They forsake sin and corruption.

ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ॥੩॥

hari milē prabh nirṅkār ॥3॥

हरि मिले प्रभ निरंकार ॥३॥

They meet the Formless Lord God. ||3||

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੇਖੀਐ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ॥

prabh pēkhīai bismād ॥

प्रभ पेखीऐ बिसमाद ॥

Gazing upon God, I am wonderstruck.

ਚਖਿ ਅਨਦ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਾਦ ॥

chakhi anad pūran sād ॥

चखि अनद पूरन साद ॥

I taste the Perfect Flavor of Bliss.

ਨਹ ਡੋਲੀਐ ਇਤ ਊਤ ॥

nah ḍōlīai it ūt ॥

नह डोलीऐ इत ऊत ॥

I do not waver or wander here or there.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚੀਤ ॥੪॥

prabh basē hari hari chīt ॥4॥

प्रभ बसे हरि हरि चीत ॥४॥

The Lord God, Har, Har, dwells within my consciousness. ||4||

ਤਿਨ੍‍ ਨਾਹਿ ਨਰਕ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥ ਨਿਤ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ ॥

tin‍ nāhi narak nivāsu ॥ nit simri prabh guṇtāsu ॥

तिन्‍ नाहि नरक निवासु ॥ नित सिमरि प्रभ गुणतासु ॥

Those who constantly remember God, the treasure of virtue, will never go to hell.

ਤੇ ਜਮੁ ਨ ਪੇਖਹਿ ਨੈਨ ॥ ਸੁਨਿ ਮੋਹੇ ਅਨਹਤ ਬੈਨ ॥੫॥

tē jamu na pēkhahi nain ॥ suni mōhē anhat bain ॥5॥

ते जमु न पेखहि नैन ॥ सुनि मोहे अनहत बैन ॥५॥

Those who listen, fascinated, to the Unstruck Sound-Current of the Word, will never have to see the Messenger of Death with their eyes. ||5||

ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਸੂਰ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥

hari sarṇi sūr gupāl ॥

हरि सरणि सूर गुपाल ॥

I seek the Sanctuary of the Lord, the Heroic Lord of the World.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਗਤ ਵਸਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥

prabh bhagat vasi daiāl ॥

प्रभ भगत वसि दइआल ॥

The Merciful Lord God is under the power of His devotees.

ਹਰਿ ਨਿਗਮ ਲਹਹਿ ਨ ਭੇਵ ॥

hari nigam lahhi na bhēv ॥

हरि निगम लहहि न भेव ॥

The Vedas do not know the Mystery of the Lord.

ਨਿਤ ਕਰਹਿ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਸੇਵ ॥੬॥

nit karahi muni jan sēv ॥6॥

नित करहि मुनि जन सेव ॥६॥

The silent sages constantly serve Him. ||6||

ਦੁਖ ਦੀਨ ਦਰਦ ਨਿਵਾਰ ॥

dukh dīn darad nivār ॥

दुख दीन दरद निवार ॥

He is the Destroyer of the pains and sorrows of the poor.

ਜਾ ਕੀ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖੜੀ ਕਾਰ ॥

jā kī mahā bikhṛī kār ॥

जा की महा बिखड़ी कार ॥

It is so very difficult to serve Him.

ਤਾ ਕੀ ਮਿਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੋਇ ॥

tā kī miti na jānai kōi ॥

ता की मिति न जानै कोइ ॥

No one knows His limits.

ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੭॥

jali thali mahīli sōi ॥7॥

जलि थलि महीअलि सोइ ॥७॥

He is pervading the water, the land and the sky. ||7||

ਕਰਿ ਬੰਦਨਾ ਲਖ ਬਾਰ ॥

kari bandnā lakh bār ॥

करि बंदना लख बार ॥

Hundreds of thousands of times, I humbly bow to Him.

ਥਕਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਰਬਾਰ ॥

thaki pariō prabh darbār ॥

थकि परिओ प्रभ दरबार ॥

I have grown weary, and I have collapsed at God's Door.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਹੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ॥

prabh karahu sādhū dhūri ॥

प्रभ करहु साधू धूरि ॥

O God, make me the dust of the feet of the Holy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਸਾ ਪੂਰਿ ॥੮॥੧॥

nānak mansā pūri ॥8॥1॥

नानक मनसा पूरि ॥८॥१॥

Please fulfill this, Nanak's wish. ||8||1||
