ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਆਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ॥

ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਆਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ॥

nirṅkār ākār kar jōti sarūp anūp dikhāiā॥

निरंकार आकार कर जोति सरूप अनूप दिखाइआ॥

The formless Lord has been beholden in the form of the light (in Guru Nanak and other Gurus).

ਵੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਅਗੋਚਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੁ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣਾਯਾ॥

vēd katēb agōcrā vāhigurū guru shabad suṇāyā॥

वेद कतेब अगोचरा वाहिगुरू गुरु शबद सुणाया॥

The Gurus recited Word-Guru as Vahiguru who is beyond the Vedas and Katebas (the semtic scriptures).

ਚਾਰ ਵਰਨ ਚਾਰ ਮਜ਼ਹਬਾ ਚਰਣ ਕਵਲ ਸ਼ਰਨਾਗਤਿ ਆਯਾ॥

chār varan chār mazhabā charaṇ kaval sharnāgti āyā॥

चार वरन चार मज़हबा चरण कवल शरनागति आया॥

Therefore all the four varnas and all four semitic religions have sought the shelter of the lotus feet of the Guru.

ਪਾਰਸ ਪਰਸ ਅਪਰਸ ਜਗ ਅਸ਼ਟਧਾਤ ਇਕ ਧਾਤ ਕਰਾਯਾ॥

pāras paras apras jag ashṭadhāt ik dhāt karāyā॥

पारस परस अपरस जग अशटधात इक धात कराया॥

When the Gurus in the form of Philosopher’s stone touched them, that alloy of eight metal changed into one metal (gold in the form of Sikhism).

ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪਾਇ ਨਿਵਾਇਕੈ ਹਉਮੈਂ ਰੋਗ ਅਸਾਧ ਮਿਟਾਯਾ॥

pairīṃ pāi nivāikai haumaiṃ rōg asādh miṭāyā॥

पैरीं पाइ निवाइकै हउमैं रोग असाध मिटाया॥

The Gurus giving them place at their feet removed their incurable malady of ego.

ਹੁਕਮ ਰਜਾਈ ਚਲਣਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਗਾਡੀ ਰਾਹੁ ਚਲਾਯਾ॥

hukam rajāī chalṇā gurmukh gāḍī rāhu chalāyā॥

हुकम रजाई चलणा गुरमुख गाडी राहु चलाया॥

For Gurmukhs they cleared the highway of God’s will.

ਪੂਰੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਥਾਟ ਬਣਾਯਾ ॥੧੭॥

pūrē pūrā thāṭ baṇāyā ॥17॥

पूरे पूरा थाट बणाया ॥१७॥

The perfect (Guru) made the perfect arrangements.
