ਨਿਰਧਨ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਧਨਾ ॥

भैरउ महला ५ ॥

Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:

ਨਿਰਧਨ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਧਨਾ ॥

nirdhan kau tum dēvhu dhanā ॥

निरधन कउ तुम देवहु धना ॥

You bless the poor with wealth, O Lord.

ਅਨਿਕ ਪਾਪ ਜਾਹਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮਨਾ ॥

anik pāp jāhi nirmal manā ॥

अनिक पाप जाहि निरमल मना ॥

Countless sins are taken away, and the mind becomes immaculate and pure.

ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਮ ॥

sagal manōrath pūran kām ॥

सगल मनोरथ पूरन काम ॥

All the mind's desires are fulfilled, and one's tasks are perfectly accomplished.

ਭਗਤ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਨਾਮ ॥੧॥

bhagat apunē kau dēvhu nām ॥1॥

भगत अपुने कउ देवहु नाम ॥१॥

You bestow Your Name upon Your devotee. ||1||

ਸਫਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਰਾਇ ॥

saphal sēvā gōpāl rāi ॥

सफल सेवा गोपाल राइ ॥

Service to the Lord, our Sovereign King, is fruitful and rewarding.

ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

karan karāvnahār suāmī tā tē birthā kōi na jāi ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

करन करावनहार सुआमी ता ते बिरथा कोइ न जाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Our Lord and Master is the Creator, the Cause of causes; no one is turned away from His Door empty-handed. ||1||Pause||

ਰੋਗੀ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਖੰਡਹੁ ਰੋਗੁ ॥

rōgī kā prabh khaṇḍhu rōgu ॥

रोगी का प्रभ खंडहु रोगु ॥

God eradicates the disease from the diseased person.

ਦੁਖੀਏ ਕਾ ਮਿਟਾਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੋਗੁ ॥

dukhīē kā miṭāvhu prabh sōgu ॥

दुखीए का मिटावहु प्रभ सोगु ॥

God takes away the sorrows of the suffering.

ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ੍‍ ਥਾਨਿ ਬੈਠਾਵਹੁ ॥

nithāvē kau tum‍ thāni baiṭhāvhu ॥

निथावे कउ तुम्‍ थानि बैठावहु ॥

And those who have no place at all - You seat them upon the place.

ਦਾਸ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਵਹੁ ॥੨॥

dās apnē kau bhagtī lāvhu ॥2॥

दास अपने कउ भगती लावहु ॥२॥

You link Your slave to devotional worship. ||2||

ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੇਤੋ ਮਾਨੁ ॥

nimāṇē kau prabh dētō mānu ॥

निमाणे कउ प्रभ देतो मानु ॥

God bestows honor on the dishonored.

ਮੂੜ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਹੋਇ ਚਤੁਰ ਸੁਗਿਆਨੁ ॥

mūṛ mugdhu hōi chatur sugiānu ॥

मूड़ मुगधु होइ चतुर सुगिआनु ॥

He makes the foolish and ignorant become clever and wise.

ਸਗਲ ਭਇਆਨ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਨਸੈ ॥

sagal bhaiān kā bhau nasai ॥

सगल भइआन का भउ नसै ॥

The fear of all fear disappears.

ਜਨ ਅਪਨੇ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਬਸੈ ॥੩॥

jan apnē kai hari mani basai ॥3॥

जन अपने कै हरि मनि बसै ॥३॥

The Lord dwells within the mind of His humble servant. ||3||

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੂਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥

pārbraham prabh sūkh nidhān ॥

पारब्रहम प्रभ सूख निधान ॥

The Supreme Lord God is the Treasure of Peace.

ਤਤੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮ ॥

tatu giānu hari ammrit nām ॥

ततु गिआनु हरि अंम्रित नाम ॥

The Ambrosial Name of the Lord is the essence of reality.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸੰਤ ਟਹਲੈ ਲਾਏ ॥

kari kirpā sant ṭahlai lāē ॥

करि किरपा संत टहलै लाए ॥

Granting His Grace, He enjoins the mortals to serve the Saints.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੪॥੨੩॥੩੬॥

nānak sādhū saṅgi samāē ॥4॥23॥36॥

नानक साधू संगि समाए ॥४॥२३॥३६॥

O Nanak, such a person merges in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||4||23||36||
