Fifth Mehl:

ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਜੁਲੀਆ ਚਮਕੰਨਿ ਘੁਰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਘਟਾ ਅਤਿ ਕਾਲੀਆ ॥

nānak bijulīā chamkanni ghuran‍ ighṭā ati kālīā ॥

नानक बिजुलीआ चमकंनि घुरन्‍ िघटा अति कालीआ ॥

O Nanak, the lightning flashes, and thunder echoes in the dark black clouds.

ਬਰਸਨਿ ਮੇਘ ਅਪਾਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਗਮਿ ਪਿਰੀ ਸੁਹੰਦੀਆ ॥੨॥

barsani mēgh apār nānak saṅgmi pirī suhndīā ॥2॥

बरसनि मेघ अपार नानक संगमि पिरी सुहंदीआ ॥२॥

The downpour from the clouds is heavy; O Nanak, the soul-brides are exalted and embellished with their Beloved. ||2||
