ਮੰਨੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਮਨਾਇਆ॥

ਮੰਨੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਮਨਾਇਆ॥

mannai satigur hukmu hukmi manāiā॥

मंनै सतिगुर हुकमु हुकमि मनाइआ॥

Who accepts the order (will) of Lord makes the whole world accept His order (Hukam).

ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨੈ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਗੁਰ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ॥

bhāṇā mannai hukmi gur phurmāiā॥

भाणा मंनै हुकमि गुर फुरमाइआ॥

The order of the Guru is that the will of the Lord be accepted positively.

ਪਿਰਮ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਪੀਵਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ॥

piram piālā pīvi alkhu lakhāiā॥

पिरम पिआला पीवि अलखु लखाइआ॥

Drinking the cup of loving devotion, they visualise the invisible (Lord).

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇ ਨ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ॥

gurmukhi alkhu lakhāi na alkhu lakhāiā॥

गुरमुखि अलखु लखाइ न अलखु लखाइआ॥

The Gurmukhs even having seen (realised) do not go on divulging this mystery.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇ ਨ ਆਪੁ ਗਣਾਇਆ॥

gurmukhi āpu gavāi na āpu gaṇāiā॥

गुरमुखि आपु गवाइ न आपु गणाइआ॥

Gurmukhs delete ego from the self and never allow themselves to be noticed.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਖ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇ ਬੀਜ ਫਲਾਇਆ ॥੧੩॥

gurmukhi sukh phalu pāi bīj phalāiā ॥13॥

गुरमुखि सुख फलु पाइ बीज फलाइआ ॥१३॥

The Guru-orientated ones acquire the fruit of happiness and spread its seeds all around.
