Saarang, Fifth Mehl, Third House:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik-ōṅkār satigur prasādi ॥

ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮਨ ਕਹਾ ਲੁਭਾਈਐ ਆਨ ਕਉ ॥

man kahā lubhāīai ān kau ॥

मन कहा लुभाईऐ आन कउ ॥

O my mind, why are you lured away by otherness?

ਈਤ ਊਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਜੀਅ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਾਮ ਕਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

īt ūt prabhu sadā sahāī jīa saṅgi tērē kām kau ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

ईत ऊत प्रभु सदा सहाई जीअ संगि तेरे काम कउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Here and hereafter, God is forever your Help and Support. He is your soul-mate; He will help you succeed. ||1||Pause||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਇਹੈ ਅਘਾਵਨ ਪਾਂਨ ਕਉ ॥

ammrit nāmu pria prīti manōhar ihai aghāvan pānn kau ॥

अंम्रित नामु प्रिअ प्रीति मनोहर इहै अघावन पांन कउ ॥

The Name of your Beloved Lover, the Fascinating Lord, is Ambrosial Nectar. Drinking it in, you shall find satisfaction.

ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਹੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਠਾਹਰ ਨੀਕੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਉ ॥੧॥

akāl mūrti hai sādh santan kī ṭhāhar nīkī dhiān kau ॥1॥

अकाल मूरति है साध संतन की ठाहर नीकी धिआन कउ ॥१॥

The Being of Immortal Manifestation is found in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. Meditate on Him in that most sublime place. ||1||

ਬਾਣੀ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਹਿ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਮਾਂਨ ਕਉ ॥

bāṇī mantru mahā purkhan kī manhi utāran mānn kau ॥

बाणी मंत्रु महा पुरखन की मनहि उतारन मांन कउ ॥

The Bani, the Word of the Supreme Lord God, is the greatest Mantra of all. It eradicates pride from the mind.

ਖੋਜਿ ਲਹਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖ ਥਾਨਾਂ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਕਉ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੦॥

khōji lahiō nānak sukh thānāṃ hari nāmā bisrām kau ॥2॥1॥20॥

खोजि लहिओ नानक सुख थानां हरि नामा बिस्राम कउ ॥२॥१॥२०॥

Searching, Nanak found the home of peace and bliss in the Name of the Lord. ||2||1||20||
