ਮੇਰੋ ਮਨੁ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਸਮ੍‍ਾਰੈ ॥

सारग महला ५ ॥

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਮੇਰੋ ਮਨੁ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਰੈ ॥

mērō manu jat kat tujhhi samārai ॥

मेरो मनु जत कत तुझहि सम्‍ारै ॥

My mind contemplates You, O Lord, all the time.

ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਦੀਨ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਿਉ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਤਿਉ ਪਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ham bārik dīn pitā prabh mērē jiu jānhi tiu pārai ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

हम बारिक दीन पिता प्रभ मेरे जिउ जानहि तिउ पारै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I am Your meek and helpless child; You are God my Father. As You know me, You save me. ||1||Pause||

ਜਬ ਭੁਖੌ ਤਬ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਮਾਂਗੈ ਅਘਾਏ ਸੂਖ ਸਘਾਰੈ ॥

jab bhukhau tab bhōjnu māṅgai aghāē sūkh saghārai ॥

जब भुखौ तब भोजनु मांगै अघाए सूख सघारै ॥

When I am hungry, I ask for food; when I am full, I am totally at peace.

ਤਬ ਅਰੋਗ ਜਬ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸਤੌ ਛੁਟਕਤ ਹੋਇ ਰਵਾਰੈ ॥੧॥

tab arōg jab tum saṅgi bastau chhuṭkat hōi ravārai ॥1॥

तब अरोग जब तुम संगि बसतौ छुटकत होइ रवारै ॥१॥

When I dwell with You, I am free of disease; if I become separated from You, I turn to dust. ||1||

ਕਵਨ ਬਸੇਰੋ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੋ ਥਾਪਿਉ ਥਾਪਨਹਾਰੈ ॥

kavan basērō dās dāsan kō thāpiu thāpnahārai ॥

कवन बसेरो दास दासन को थापिउ थापनहारै ॥

What power does the slave of Your slave have, O Establisher and Disestablisher?

ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਤਬ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੈ ॥੨॥੨੯॥੫੨॥

nāmu na bisrai tab jīvnu pāīai bintī nānak ih sārai ॥2॥29॥52॥

नामु न बिसरै तब जीवनु पाईऐ बिनती नानक इह सारै ॥२॥२९॥५२॥

If I do not forget the Naam, the Name of the Lord, then I die. Nanak offers this prayer. ||2||29||52||
