ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨੀ ॥

सारग महला ४ ॥

Saarang, Fourth Mehl:

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨੀ ॥

mērā manu rām nāmi manu mānī ॥

मेरा मनु राम नामि मनु मानी ॥

My mind is pleased and appeased by the Name of the Lord.

ਮੇਰੈ ਹੀਅਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਈ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਖਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

mērai hīarai satiguri prīti lagāī mani hari hari kathā sukhānī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

मेरै हीअरै सतिगुरि प्रीति लगाई मनि हरि हरि कथा सुखानी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

The True Guru has implanted divine love within my heart. The Sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, is pleasing to my mind. ||1||Pause||

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੋਵਹੁ ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਜਨ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥

dīn daiāl hōvhu jan ūpri jan dēvhu akath kahānī ॥

दीन दइआल होवहु जन ऊपरि जन देवहु अकथ कहानी ॥

Please be merciful to Your meek and humble servant; please bless Your humble servant with Your Unspoken Speech.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਨੀ ॥੧॥

sant janā mili hari rasu pāiā hari mani tani mīṭh lagānī ॥1॥

संत जना मिलि हरि रसु पाइआ हरि मनि तनि मीठ लगानी ॥१॥

Meeting with the humble Saints, I have found the sublime essence of the Lord. The Lord seems so sweet to my mind and body. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਜਿਨ੍‍ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਨੀ ॥

hari kai raṅgi ratē bairāgī jin‍ gurmati nāmu pachhānī ॥

हरि कै रंगि रते बैरागी जिन्‍ गुरमति नामु पछानी ॥

They alone are unattached, who are imbued with the Lord's Love; through the Guru's Teachings, they realize the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਪੁਰਖੈ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੨॥

purkhai purkhu miliā sukhu pāiā sabh chūkī āvaṇ jānī ॥2॥

पुरखै पुरखु मिलिआ सुखु पाइआ सभ चूकी आवण जानी ॥२॥

Meeting with the Primal Being, one finds peace, and one's comings and goings in reincarnation are ended. ||2||

ਨੈਣੀ ਬਿਰਹੁ ਦੇਖਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਨੀ ॥

naiṇī birhu dēkhā prabh suāmī rasnā nāmu vakhānī ॥

नैणी बिरहु देखा प्रभ सुआमी रसना नामु वखानी ॥

With my eyes, I gaze lovingly upon God, my Lord and Master. I chant His Name with my tongue.

ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਸੁਨਉ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਨੀ ॥੩॥

sravṇī kīrtanu sunau dinu rātī hirdai hari hari bhānī ॥3॥

स्रवणी कीरतनु सुनउ दिनु राती हिरदै हरि हरि भानी ॥३॥

With my ears, I listen to the Kirtan of His Praises, day and night. I love the Lord, Har, Har, with all my heart. ||3||

ਪੰਚ ਜਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਆਣੇ ਤਉ ਉਨਮਨਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਗਾਨੀ ॥

pañc janā guri vasgati āṇē tau unmani nāmi lagānī ॥

पंच जना गुरि वसगति आणे तउ उनमनि नामि लगानी ॥

When the Guru helped me to overcome the five thieves, then I found ultimate bliss, attached to the Naam.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥੪॥੫॥

jan nānak hari kirpā dhārī hari rāmai nāmi samānī ॥4॥5॥

जन नानक हरि किरपा धारी हरि रामै नामि समानी ॥४॥५॥

The Lord has showered His Mercy on servant Nanak; he merges in the Lord, in the Name of the Lord. ||4||5||
