ਮਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਨਿਹਾਰਉ ॥

Dayv-Gandhaaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਨਿਹਾਰਉ ॥

māī prabh kē charan nihārau ॥

माई प्रभ के चरन निहारउ ॥

O mother, I long to see the Feet of God.

ਕਰਹੁ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਡਾਰਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

karahu anugrhu suāmī mērē man tē kabhu na ḍārau ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

करहु अनुग्रहु सुआमी मेरे मन ते कबहु न डारउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Be Merciful to me, O my Lord and Master, that I might never forsake them from my mind. ||1||Pause||

ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ਲਾਈ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਿਖੁ ਜਾਰਉ ॥

sādhū dhūri lāī mukhi masatki kām krōdh bikhu jārau ॥

साधू धूरि लाई मुखि मसतकि काम क्रोध बिखु जारउ ॥

Applying the dust of the feet of the Holy to my face and forehead, I burn away the poison of sexual desire and anger.

ਸਭ ਤੇ ਨੀਚੁ ਆਤਮ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਉ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਇਹੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਧਾਰਉ ॥੧॥

sabh tē nīchhu ātam kari mānau man mahi ihu sukhu dhārau ॥1॥

सभ ते नीचु आतम करि मानउ मन महि इहु सुखु धारउ ॥१॥

I judge myself to be the lowest of all; in this way, I instill peace within my mind. ||1||

ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਕਲਮਲ ਸਗਲੇ ਝਾਰਉ ॥

gun gāvah ṭhākur abināsī kalmal saglē jhārau ॥

गुन गावह ठाकुर अबिनासी कलमल सगले झारउ ॥

I sing the Glorious Praises of the Imperishable Lord and Master, and I shake off all my sins.

ਨਾਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਨੁ ਪਾਵਉ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਉ ॥੨॥੧੯॥

nām nidhānu nānak dānu pāvau kaṇṭhi lāi uri dhārau ॥2॥19॥

नाम निधानु नानक दानु पावउ कंठि लाइ उरि धारउ ॥२॥१९॥

I have found the gift of the treasure of the Naam, O Nanak; I hug it close, and enshrine it in my heart. ||2||19||
