ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਲਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ ॥

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

बिलावलु महला ५ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਲਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ ॥

lāl raṅgu tis kau lagā jis kē vaḍbhāgā ॥

लाल रंगु तिस कउ लगा जिस के वडभागा ॥

One is dyed in the color of the Lord's Love, by great good fortune.

ਮੈਲਾ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਨਹ ਲਾਗੈ ਦਾਗਾ ॥੧॥

mailā kadē na hōvaī nah lāgai dāgā ॥1॥

मैला कदे न होवई नह लागै दागा ॥१॥

This color is never muddied; no stain ever sticks to it. ||1||

ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੁਖਦਾਈਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਖ ਭਾਇ ॥

prabhu pāiā sukhdāīā miliā sukh bhāi ॥

प्रभु पाइआ सुखदाईआ मिलिआ सुख भाइ ॥

He finds God, the Giver of peace, with feelings of joy.

ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਨਾ ਭੀਤਰੇ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਨਹ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

sahji samānā bhītarē chhōḍiā nah jāi ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

सहजि समाना भीतरे छोडिआ नह जाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

The Celestial Lord blends into his soul, and he can never leave Him. ||1||Pause||

ਜਰਾ ਮਰਾ ਨਹ ਵਿਆਪਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

jarā marā nah viāpaī phiri dūkhu na pāiā ॥

जरा मरा नह विआपई फिरि दूखु न पाइआ ॥

Old age and death cannot touch him, and he shall not suffer pain again.

ਪੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਆਘਾਨਿਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਮਰੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ॥੨॥

pī ammritu āghāniā guri amru karāiā ॥2॥

पी अंम्रितु आघानिआ गुरि अमरु कराइआ ॥२॥

Drinking in the Ambrosial Nectar, he is satisfied; the Guru makes him immortal. ||2||

ਸੋ ਜਾਨੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਮੋਲਾ ॥

sō jānai jini chākhiā hari nāmu amōlā ॥

सो जानै जिनि चाखिआ हरि नामु अमोला ॥

He alone knows its taste, who tastes the Priceless Name of the Lord.

ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਈਐ ਕਿਆ ਕਹਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲਾ ॥੩॥

kīmti kahī na jāīai kiā kahi mukhi bōlā ॥3॥

कीमति कही न जाईऐ किआ कहि मुखि बोला ॥३॥

Its value cannot be estimated; what can I say with my mouth? ||3||

ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

saphal darsu tērā pārbraham guṇ nidhi tērī bāṇī ॥

सफल दरसु तेरा पारब्रहम गुण निधि तेरी बाणी ॥

Fruitful is the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, O Supreme Lord God. The Word of Your Bani is the treasure of virtue.

ਪਾਵਉ ਧੂਰਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੪॥੩॥੩੩॥

pāvau dhūri tērē dās kī nānak kurbāṇī ॥4॥3॥33॥

पावउ धूरि तेरे दास की नानक कुरबाणी ॥४॥३॥३३॥

Please bless me with the dust of the feet of Your slaves; Nanak is a sacrifice. ||4||3||33||
