ਕਵਨੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਕਉਨੁ ਗ੍ਹਾਨੁ ਧ੍ਹਾਨੁ ਕਵਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਉਸੋਤਿ ਕਰੀਐ ॥

ਕਵਨੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਕਉਨੁ ਗ੍ਹਾਨੁ ਧ੍ਹਾਨੁ ਕਵਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਉਸੋਤਿ ਕਰੀਐ ॥

kavnu jōgu kaunu ghānu dhhānu kavan bidhi usōti karīai ॥

कवनु जोगु कउनु ग्हानु ध्हानु कवन बिधि उसोति करीऐ ॥

What is the Yoga, what is the spiritual wisdom and meditation, and what is the way, to praise the Lord?

ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਤੇਤੀਸ ਕੋਰਿ ਤਿਰੁ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਰੀਐ ॥

sidh sādhik tētīs kōri tiru kīm na parīai ॥

सिध साधिक तेतीस कोरि तिरु कीम न परीऐ ॥

The Siddhas and seekers and the three hundred thirty million gods cannot find even a tiny bit of the Lord's Value.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਦਿਕ ਸਨਕਾਦਿ ਸੇਖ ਗੁਣ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਏ ॥

brahmādik sankādi sēkh guṇ antu na pāē ॥

ब्रहमादिक सनकादि सेख गुण अंतु न पाए ॥

Neither Brahma, nor Sanak, nor the thousand-headed serpent king can find the limits of His Glorious Virtues.

ਅਗਹੁ ਗਹਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਪੂਰਿ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਮਾਏ ॥

agahu gahiō nahī jāi pūri srab rahiō samāē ॥

अगहु गहिओ नही जाइ पूरि स्रब रहिओ समाए ॥

The Inapprehensible Lord cannot be apprehended. He is pervading and permeating amongst all.

ਜਿਹ ਕਾਟੀ ਸਿਲਕ ਦਯਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸੇਇ ਜਨ ਲਗੇ ਭਗਤੇ ॥

jih kāṭī silak dayāl prabhi sēi jan lagē bhagtē ॥

जिह काटी सिलक दयाल प्रभि सेइ जन लगे भगते ॥

Those whom God has mercifully freed from their nooses - those humble beings are attached to His devotional worship.

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨ੍‍ ਪਰਸਿਓ ਤੇ ਇਤ ਉਤ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤੇ ॥੮॥

hari guru nānku jin‍ parsiō tē it ut sadā muktē ॥8॥

हरि गुरु नानकु जिन्‍ परसिओ ते इत उत सदा मुकते ॥८॥

Those who meet with the Lord through Guru Nanak are liberated forever, here and hereafter. ||8||
