ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦਾ ਕਰੈ ਕਰਾਯਾ॥

ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦਾ ਕਰੈ ਕਰਾਯਾ॥

karaṇ kāraṇ samrath hai sādh saṅgat dā karai karāyā॥

करण कारण समरथ है साध संगत दा करै कराया॥

All competent God Himself is the efficient as well as material cause of all but He does everything according to the will of the holy congregation.

ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਹੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦਾ ਦੇਇ ਦਵਾਯਾ॥

bharē bhaṇḍār dātār hai sādh saṅgat dā dēi davāyā॥

भरे भंडार दातार है साध संगत दा देइ दवाया॥

The stores of that bestower are full but he gives according to the wishes of the holy congregation.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਰ ਰੂਪ ਹੋਇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਗੁਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸਮਾਯਾ॥

pārbraham gur rūp hōi sādh saṅgat gur shabad samāyā॥

पारब्रहम गुर रूप होइ साध संगत गुर शबद समाया॥

That transcendental Brahm, by being the Guru, enrapts the holy congregation into the Word, sabad.

ਜਗ ਭੋਗ ਜੋਗ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰ ਪੂਜਾ ਪਰੋ ਨ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਯਾ॥

jag bhōg jōg dhiān kar pūjā parō na darshan pāyā॥

जग भोग जोग धिआन कर पूजा परो न दरशन पाया॥

His glimpse can not be had by performing of yajna, offering sweets, yoga, concentration, ritualistic worship and ablutions.

ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਪਿਓ ਪੁਤ ਹੋਇ ਦਿਤਾ ਖਾਇ ਪਹਿਨ ਪੈਨ੍ਹਾਯਾ॥

sādh saṅgat piō put hōi ditā khāi pahin painhāyā॥

साध संगत पिओ पुत होइ दिता खाइ पहिन पैन्हाया॥

Fellows in the holy congregation maintain father-son relationship with the Guru, and whatever he gives to eat and put on, they eat and wear.

ਘਰ ਬਾਰੀ ਹੋਇ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਘਰ ਬਾਰੀ ਸਿਖ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪਾਯਾ॥

ghar bārī hōi vartiā ghar bārī sikh pairīṃ pāyā॥

घर बारी होइ वरतिआ घर बारी सिख पैरीं पाया॥

ਮਾਯਾ ਵਿਚ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਖਾਇਆ ॥੨॥

māyā vic udās rakhāiā ॥2॥

माया विच उदास रखाइआ ॥२॥

God remains detached in maya.
