ਕਰ ਕਰਿ ਟਹਲ ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਉ ॥

गउड़ी महला ५ ॥

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਕਰ ਕਰਿ ਟਹਲ ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਉ ॥

kar kari ṭahal rasnā guṇ gāvau ॥

कर करि टहल रसना गुण गावउ ॥

With my hands I do His work; with my tongue I sing His Glorious Praises.

ਚਰਨ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੈ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਧਾਵਉ ॥੧॥

charan ṭhākur kai mārgi dhāvau ॥1॥

चरन ठाकुर कै मारगि धावउ ॥१॥

With my feet, I walk on the Path of my Lord and Master. ||1||

ਭਲੋ ਸਮੋ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀ ਬਰੀਆ ॥

bhalō samō simran kī barīā ॥

भलो समो सिमरन की बरीआ ॥

It is a good time, when I remember Him in meditation.

ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਭੈ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਰੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

simrat nāmu bhai pāri utrīā ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

सिमरत नामु भै पारि उतरीआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, I cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||Pause||

ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪੇਖੁ ॥

nētr santan kā darsanu pēkhu ॥

नेत्र संतन का दरसनु पेखु ॥

With your eyes, behold the Blessed Vision of the Saints.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਵਿਨਾਸੀ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਲੇਖੁ ॥੨॥

prabh avināsī man mahi lēkhu ॥2॥

प्रभ अविनासी मन महि लेखु ॥२॥

Record the Immortal Lord God within your mind. ||2||

ਸੁਣਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਸਾਧ ਪਹਿ ਜਾਇ ॥

suṇi kīrtanu sādh pahi jāi ॥

सुणि कीरतनु साध पहि जाइ ॥

Listen to the Kirtan of His Praises, at the Feet of the Holy.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਮਿਟਾਇ ॥੩॥

janam maraṇ kī trās miṭāi ॥3॥

जनम मरण की त्रास मिटाइ ॥३॥

Your fears of birth and death shall depart. ||3||

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ ॥

charaṇ kamal ṭhākur uri dhāri ॥

चरण कमल ठाकुर उरि धारि ॥

Enshrine the Lotus Feet of your Lord and Master within your heart.

ਦੁਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੫੧॥੧੨੦॥

dulabh dēh nānak nistāri ॥4॥51॥120॥

दुलभ देह नानक निसतारि ॥४॥५१॥१२०॥

Thus this human life, so difficult to obtain, shall be redeemed. ||4||51||120||
