ਕਲਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਬਹੁ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਹਿ ॥

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥

भैरउ महला ३ ॥

Bhairao, Third Mehl:

ਕਲਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਬਹੁ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਹਿ ॥

kaljug mahi bahu karam kamāhi ॥

कलजुग महि बहु करम कमाहि ॥

In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, many rituals are performed.

ਨਾ ਰੁਤਿ ਨ ਕਰਮ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਹਿ ॥੧॥

nā ruti na karam thāi pāhi ॥1॥

ना रुति न करम थाइ पाहि ॥१॥

But it is not the time for them, and so they are of no use. ||1||

ਕਲਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਸਾਰੁ ॥

kaljug mahi rām nāmu hai sāru ॥

कलजुग महि राम नामु है सारु ॥

In Kali Yuga, the Lord's Name is the most sublime.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

gurmukhi sāchā lagai piāru ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

गुरमुखि साचा लगै पिआरु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

As Gurmukh, be lovingly attached to Truth. ||1||Pause||

ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਖੋਜਿ ਘਰੈ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

tanu manu khōji gharai mahi pāiā ॥

तनु मनु खोजि घरै महि पाइआ ॥

Searching my body and mind, I found Him within the home of my own heart.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥੨॥

gurmukhi rām nāmi chitu lāiā ॥2॥

गुरमुखि राम नामि चितु लाइआ ॥२॥

The Gurmukh centers his consciousness on the Lord's Name. ||2||

ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ॥

giān añjnu satigur tē hōi ॥

गिआन अंजनु सतिगुर ते होइ ॥

The ointment of spiritual wisdom is obtained from the True Guru.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਤਿਹੁ ਲੋਇ ॥੩॥

rām nāmu ravi rahiā tihu lōi ॥3॥

राम नामु रवि रहिआ तिहु लोइ ॥३॥

The Lord's Name is pervading the three worlds. ||3||

ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਏਕੁ ਹੋਰ ਰੁਤਿ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥

kalijug mahi hari jīu ēku hōr ruti na kāī ॥

कलिजुग महि हरि जीउ एकु होर रुति न काई ॥

In Kali Yuga, it is the time for the One Dear Lord; it is not the time for anything else.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੇਹੁ ਜਮਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੦॥

nānak gurmukhi hirdai rām nāmu lēhu jamāī ॥4॥10॥

नानक गुरमुखि हिरदै राम नामु लेहु जमाई ॥४॥१०॥

O Nanak, as Gurmukh, let the Lord's Name grow within your heart. ||4||10||
