ਕਲ ਆਈ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਮੁਹੀ ਖਾਜ ਹੋਆ ਮੁਰਦਾਰ ਗੁਸਾਈ॥

kal āī kuttē muhī khāj hōā murdār gusāī॥

कल आई कुॱते मुही खाज होआ मुरदार गुसाई॥

O God! in kaliyug , the mentality of the jiv has become like the mouth of dog which always seeks the dead to eat.

ਰਾਜੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਮਾਂਵਦੇ ਉਲਟੀ ਵਾੜ ਖੇਤ ਕਉ ਖਾਈ॥

rājē pāp kamāṃvdē ulṭī vāṛ khēt kau khāī॥

राजे पाप कमांवदे उलटी वाड़ खेत कउ खाई॥

The kings are sinning as if the protective fence were itself devouring the (crop in the) field.

ਪਰਜਾ ਅੰਧੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਬਿਨ ਕੂੜ ਕੁਸਤ ਮੁਖਹੁ ਅਲਾਈ॥

parjā andhī giān bin kūṛ kusat mukhhu alāī॥

परजा अंधी गिआन बिन कूड़ कुसत मुखहु अलाई॥

Bereft of knowledge, the blind people are uttering falsehood.

ਚੇਲੇ ਸਾਜ ਵਜਾਇੰਦੇ ਨੱਚਣ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਿਧ ਭਾਈ॥

chēlē sāj vajāindē nacchaṇ gurū bahut bidh bhāī॥

चेले साज वजाइंदे नॱचण गुरू बहुत बिध भाई॥

Now the gurus are dancing variously to the tunes played by the disciples.

ਸੇਵਕ ਬੈਠਨ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰ ਉਠ ਘਰੀਂ ਤਿਨਾੜੇ ਜਾਈ॥

sēvak baiṭhan gharāṃ vic gur uṭh gharīṃ tināṛē jāī॥

सेवक बैठन घरां विच गुर उठ घरीं तिनाड़े जाई॥

The taughts now sit at home and the teachers go their abodes.

ਕਾਜ਼ੀ ਹੋਏ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤੀ ਵੱਢੀ ਲੈਕੇ ਹੱਕ ਗਵਾਈ॥

kāzī hōē rishvatī vaḍḍhī laikē hakk gavāī॥

काज़ी होए रिशवती वॱढी लैके हॱक गवाई॥

Qazis enjoy bribes and getting the same they have lost their high regards and position.

ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪੁਰਖਾ ਦਾਮ ਹਿਤ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਆਇ ਕਿਥਾਊਂ ਜਾਈ॥

istrī purkhā dām hit bhāvēṃ āi kithāūṃ jāī॥

इसत्री पुरखा दाम हित भावें आइ किथाऊं जाई॥

Man and woman love each other for riches, may they come from anywhere.

ਵਰਤਿਆ ਪਾਪ ਸਭਸ ਜਗ ਮਾਂਹੀ ॥੩੦॥

vartiā pāp sabhas jag māṃhī ॥30॥

वरतिआ पाप सभस जग मांही ॥३०॥

The sin has become ubiquitous in the whole world.
