ਕੋਇ ਨ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਗਰਬੀਐ ॥

आसा महला ५ ॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਕੋਇ ਨ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਗਰਬੀਐ ॥

kōi na kis hī saṅgi kāhē garbīai ॥

कोइ न किस ही संगि काहे गरबीऐ ॥

No one is anyone's companion; why take any pride in others?

ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਰਬੀਐ ॥੧॥

ēku nāmu ādhāru bhaujlu tarbīai ॥1॥

एकु नामु आधारु भउजलु तरबीऐ ॥१॥

With the Support of the One Name, this terrible world-ocean is crossed over. ||1||

ਮੈ ਗਰੀਬ ਸਚੁ ਟੇਕ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ॥

mai garīb sachu ṭēk tūṃ mērē satigur pūrē ॥

मै गरीब सचु टेक तूं मेरे सतिगुर पूरे ॥

You are the True Support of me, the poor mortal, O my Perfect True Guru.

ਦੇਖਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਾ ਦਰਸਨੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

dēkhi tumārā darsanō mērā manu dhīrē ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

देखि तुम्‍ारा दरसनो मेरा मनु धीरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, my mind is encouraged. ||1||Pause||

ਰਾਜੁ ਮਾਲੁ ਜੰਜਾਲੁ ਕਾਜਿ ਨ ਕਿਤੈ ਗਨੁੋ ॥

rāju mālu jañjālu kāji na kitai ganō ॥

राजु मालु जंजालु काजि न कितै गनुो ॥

Royal powers, wealth, and worldly involvements are of no use at all.

ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਏਹੁ ਧਨੁੋ ॥੨॥

hari kīrtanu ādhāru nihchalu ēhu dhanō ॥2॥

हरि कीरतनु आधारु निहचलु एहु धनुो ॥२॥

The Kirtan of the Lord's Praise is my Support; this wealth is everlasting. ||2||

ਜੇਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਤੇਤ ਪਛਾਵਿਆ ॥

jētē māiā raṅg tēt pachhāviā ॥

जेते माइआ रंग तेत पछाविआ ॥

As many as are the pleasures of Maya, so many are the shadows they leave.

ਸੁਖ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਾਵਿਆ ॥੩॥

sukh kā nāmu nidhānu gurmukhi gāviā ॥3॥

सुख का नामु निधानु गुरमुखि गाविआ ॥३॥

The Gurmukhs sing of the Naam, the treasure of peace. ||3||

ਸਚਾ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੇ ॥

sachā guṇī nidhānu tūṃ prabh gahir gambhīrē ॥

सचा गुणी निधानु तूं प्रभ गहिर गंभीरे ॥

You are the True Lord, the treasure of excellence; O God, You are deep and unfathomable.

ਆਸ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਜੀਅਰੇ ॥੪॥੯॥੧੧੧॥

ās bharōsā khasam kā nānak kē jīarē ॥4॥9॥111॥

आस भरोसा खसम का नानक के जीअरे ॥४॥९॥१११॥

The Lord Master is the hope and support of Nanak's mind. ||4||9||111||
