ਕੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਦੇਵੈ ਜੋਰਿ ॥

जैतसरी महला ५ ॥

Jaitsree, Fifth Mehl:

ਕੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਦੇਵੈ ਜੋਰਿ ॥

kōī janu hari siu dēvai jōri ॥

कोई जनु हरि सिउ देवै जोरि ॥

If only someone would unite me with the Lord!

ਚਰਨ ਗਹਉ ਬਕਉ ਸੁਭ ਰਸਨਾ ਦੀਜਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਕੋਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

charan gahau bakau subh rasnā dījhi prān akōri ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

चरन गहउ बकउ सुभ रसना दीजहि प्रान अकोरि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I hold tight to His feet, and utter sweet words with my tongue; I make my breath of life an offering to Him. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਰਤ ਕਿਆਰੋ ਹਰਿ ਸਿੰਚੈ ਸੁਧਾ ਸੰਜੋਰਿ ॥

manu tanu nirmal karat kiārō hari siñchai sudhā sañjōri ॥

मनु तनु निरमल करत किआरो हरि सिंचै सुधा संजोरि ॥

I make my mind and body into pure little gardens, and irrigate them with the sublime essence of the Lord.

ਇਆ ਰਸ ਮਹਿ ਮਗਨੁ ਹੋਤ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਤੋਰਿ ॥੧॥

iā ras mahi magnu hōt kirpā tē mahā bikhiā tē tōri ॥1॥

इआ रस महि मगनु होत किरपा ते महा बिखिआ ते तोरि ॥१॥

I am drenched with this sublime essence by His Grace, and the powerful hold of Maya's corruption has been broken. ||1||

ਆਇਓ ਸਰਣਿ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਚਿਤਵਉ ਤੁਮ੍‍ਰੀ ਓਰਿ ॥

āiō sarṇi dīn dukh bhañjan chitvau tum‍rī ōri ॥

आइओ सरणि दीन दुख भंजन चितवउ तुम्‍री ओरि ॥

I have come to Your Sanctuary, O Destroyer of the suffering of the innocent; I keep my consciousness focused on You.

ਅਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਬੰਧਨ ਛੋਰਿ ॥੨॥੫॥੯॥

abhai padu dānu simranu suāmī kō prabh nānak bandhan chhōri ॥2॥5॥9॥

अभै पदु दानु सिमरनु सुआमी को प्रभ नानक बंधन छोरि ॥२॥५॥९॥

Bless me with the gifts of the state of fearlessness, and meditative remembrance, Lord and Master; O Nanak, God is the Breaker of bonds. ||2||5||9||
