ਕਾਇਆ ਕਲਾਲਨਿ ਲਾਹਨਿ ਮੇਲਉ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਗੁੜੁ ਕੀਨੁ ਰੇ ॥

kāiā kalālni lāhni mēlau gur kā sabdu guṛu kīnu rē ॥

काइआ कलालनि लाहनि मेलउ गुर का सबदु गुड़ु कीनु रे ॥

Make your body the vat, and mix in the yeast. Let the Word of the Guru's Shabad be the molasses.

ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਮਦ ਮਤਸਰ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਸੁ ਦੀਨੁ ਰੇ ॥੧॥

trisnā kāmu krōdhu mad matsar kāṭi kāṭi kasu dīnu rē ॥1॥

त्रिसना कामु क्रोधु मद मतसर काटि काटि कसु दीनु रे ॥१॥

Cut up desire, sexuality, anger, pride and envy, and let them be the fermenting bark. ||1||

ਕੋਈ ਹੈ ਰੇ ਸੰਤੁ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਜਪੁ ਤਪੁ ਦੇਉ ਦਲਾਲੀ ਰੇ ॥

kōī hai rē santu sahaj sukh antri jā kau japu tapu dēu dalālī rē ॥

कोई है रे संतु सहज सुख अंतरि जा कउ जपु तपु देउ दलाली रे ॥

Is there any Saint, with intuitive peace and poise deep within, unto whom I might offer my meditation and austerities as payment?

ਏਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਭਰਿ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਦੇਵਉ ਜੋ ਮਦੁ ਦੇਇ ਕਲਾਲੀ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ēk būnd bhari tanu manu dēvau jō madu dēi kalālī rē ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

एक बूंद भरि तनु मनु देवउ जो मदु देइ कलाली रे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I dedicate my body and mind to whoever gives me even a drop of this wine from such a vat. ||1||Pause||

ਭਵਨ ਚਤੁਰ ਦਸ ਭਾਠੀ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਅਗਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੇ ॥

bhavan chatur das bhāṭhī kīnī braham agni tani jārī rē ॥

भवन चतुर दस भाठी कीन्‍ी ब्रहम अगनि तनि जारी रे ॥

I have made the fourteen worlds the furnace, and I have burnt my body with the fire of God.

ਮੁਦ੍ਰਾ ਮਦਕ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਪੋਚਨਹਾਰੀ ਰੇ ॥੨॥

mudrā madak sahaj dhuni lāgī sukhman pōcnahārī rē ॥2॥

मुद्रा मदक सहज धुनि लागी सुखमन पोचनहारी रे ॥२॥

My mudra - my hand-gesture, is the pipe; tuning into the celestial sound current within, the Shushmanaa - the central spinal channel, is my cooling pad. ||2||

ਤੀਰਥ ਬਰਤ ਨੇਮ ਸੁਚਿ ਸੰਜਮ ਰਵਿ ਸਸਿ ਗਹਨੈ ਦੇਉ ਰੇ ॥

tīrath barat nēm suchi sañjam ravi sasi gahnai dēu rē ॥

तीरथ बरत नेम सुचि संजम रवि ससि गहनै देउ रे ॥

Pilgrimages, fasting, vows, purifications, self-discipline, austerities and breath control through the sun and moon channels - all these I pledge.

ਸੁਰਤਿ ਪਿਆਲ ਸੁਧਾ ਰਸੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਏਹੁ ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਪੇਉ ਰੇ ॥੩॥

surti piāl sudhā rasu ammritu ēhu mahā rasu pēu rē ॥3॥

सुरति पिआल सुधा रसु अंम्रितु एहु महा रसु पेउ रे ॥३॥

My focused consciousness is the cup, and the Ambrosial Nectar is the pure juice. I drink in the supreme, sublime essence of this juice. ||3||

ਨਿਝਰ ਧਾਰ ਚੁਐ ਅਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਇਹ ਰਸ ਮਨੂਆ ਰਾਤੋ ਰੇ ॥

nijhar dhār chuai ati nirmal ih ras manūā rātō rē ॥

निझर धार चुऐ अति निरमल इह रस मनूआ रातो रे ॥

The pure stream constantly trickles forth, and my mind is intoxicated by this sublime essence.

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਸਗਲੇ ਮਦ ਛੂਛੇ ਇਹੈ ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਸਾਚੋ ਰੇ ॥੪॥੧॥

kahi kabīr saglē mad chhūchhhē ihai mahā rasu sāchō rē ॥4॥1॥

कहि कबीर सगले मद छूछे इहै महा रसु साचो रे ॥४॥१॥

Says Kabeer, all other wines are trivial and tasteless; this is the only true, sublime essence. ||4||1||
