Shalok, Third Mehl:

ਜਗਤੁ ਜਲੰਦਾ ਰਖਿ ਲੈ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥

jagtu jalndā rakhi lai āpṇī kirpā dhāri ॥

जगतु जलंदा रखि लै आपणी किरपा धारि ॥

The world is going up in flames - shower it with Your Mercy, and save it!

ਜਿਤੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਉਬਰੈ ਤਿਤੈ ਲੈਹੁ ਉਬਾਰਿ ॥

jitu duārai ubrai titai laihu ubāri ॥

जितु दुआरै उबरै तितै लैहु उबारि ॥

Save it, and deliver it, by whatever method it takes.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਵੇਖਾਲਿਆ ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥

satiguri sukhu vēkhāliā sachā sabdu bīchāri ॥

सतिगुरि सुखु वेखालिआ सचा सबदु बीचारि ॥

The True Guru has shown the way to peace, contemplating the True Word of the Shabad.

ਨਾਨਕ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਝਈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਖਸਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥

nānak avru na sujhaī hari binu bakhsaṇhāru ॥1॥

नानक अवरु न सुझई हरि बिनु बखसणहारु ॥१॥

Nanak knows no other than the Lord, the Forgiving Lord. ||1||
