ਜੋਨਿ ਛਾਡਿ ਜਉ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਓ ॥

Gauree 9:

ਜੋਨਿ ਛਾਡਿ ਜਉ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਓ ॥

jōni chhāḍi jau jag mahi āiō ॥

जोनि छाडि जउ जग महि आइओ ॥

He leaves the womb, and comes into the world;

ਲਾਗਤ ਪਵਨ ਖਸਮੁ ਬਿਸਰਾਇਓ ॥੧॥

lāgat pavan khasmu bisrāiō ॥1॥

लागत पवन खसमु बिसराइओ ॥१॥

As soon as the air touches him, he forgets his Lord and Master. ||1||

ਜੀਅਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਨਾ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jīrā hari kē gunā gāu ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

जीअरा हरि के गुना गाउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

O my soul, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਗਰਭ ਜੋਨਿ ਮਹਿ ਉਰਧ ਤਪੁ ਕਰਤਾ ॥

garabh jōni mahi uradh tapu karatā ॥

गरभ जोनि महि उरध तपु करता ॥

You were upside-down, living in the womb; you generated the intense meditative heat of 'tapas'.

ਤਉ ਜਠਰ ਅਗਨਿ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਤਾ ॥੨॥

tau jaṭhar agni mahi rahtā ॥2॥

तउ जठर अगनि महि रहता ॥२॥

Then, you escaped the fire of the belly. ||2||

ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਆਇਓ ॥

lakh chaurāsīh jōni bhrami āiō ॥

लख चउरासीह जोनि भ्रमि आइओ ॥

After wandering through 8.4 million incarnations, you came.

ਅਬ ਕੇ ਛੁਟਕੇ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਠਾਇਓ ॥੩॥

ab kē chhuṭkē ṭhaur na ṭhāiō ॥3॥

अब के छुटके ठउर न ठाइओ ॥३॥

If you stumble and fall now, you shall find no home or place of rest. ||3||

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਭਜੁ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਨੀ ॥

kahu kabīr bhaju sārigpānī ॥

कहु कबीर भजु सारिगपानी ॥

Says Kabeer, meditate, vibrate upon the Lord, the Sustainer of the earth.

ਆਵਤ ਦੀਸੈ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੧॥੬੨॥

āvat dīsai jāt na jānī ॥4॥1॥11॥62॥

आवत दीसै जात न जानी ॥४॥१॥११॥६२॥

He is not seen to be coming or going; He is the Knower of all. ||4||1||11||62||
