ਜਿਥੈ ਬੈਸਨਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਸੋ ਥਾਨੁ ਸੁਹੰਦਾ ॥

jithai baisni sādh jan sō thānu suhandā ॥

जिथै बैसनि साध जन सो थानु सुहंदा ॥

Beautiful is that place, where the Holy people dwell.

ਓਇ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਿਥੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਸਭੁ ਮੰਦਾ ॥

ōi sēvni sammrithu āpaṇā binsai sabhu mandā ॥

ओइ सेवनि संम्रिथु आपणा बिनसै सभु मंदा ॥

They serve their All-powerful Lord, and they give up all their evil ways.

ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੰਤ ਬੇਦੁ ਕਹੰਦਾ ॥

patit udhāraṇ pārbraham sant bēdu kahandā ॥

पतित उधारण पारब्रहम संत बेदु कहंदा ॥

The Saints and the Vedas proclaim, that the Supreme Lord God is the Saving Grace of sinners.

ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਹੈ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਵਰਤੰਦਾ ॥

bhagti vachhlu tērā birdu hai jugi jugi vartandā ॥

भगति वछलु तेरा बिरदु है जुगि जुगि वरतंदा ॥

You are the Lover of Your devotees - this is Your natural way, in each and every age.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਭਾਵੰਦਾ ॥੫॥

nānku jāchai ēku nāmu mani tani bhāvndā ॥5॥

नानकु जाचै एकु नामु मनि तनि भावंदा ॥५॥

Nanak asks for the One Name, which is pleasing to his mind and body. ||5||
