ਝਗਰਾ ਏਕੁ ਨਿਬੇਰਹੁ ਰਾਮ ॥

jhagrā ēku nibērhu rām ॥

झगरा एकु निबेरहु राम ॥

Resolve this one conflict for me, O Lord,

ਜਉ ਤੁਮ ਅਪਨੇ ਜਨ ਸੌ ਕਾਮੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jau tum apnē jan sau kāmu ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

जउ तुम अपने जन सौ कामु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

If you require any work from Your humble servant. ||1||Pause||

ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਬਡਾ ਕਿ ਜਾ ਸਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥

ihu manu baḍā ki jā sau manu māniā ॥

इहु मनु बडा कि जा सउ मनु मानिआ ॥

Is this mind greater, or the One to whom the mind is attuned?

ਰਾਮੁ ਬਡਾ ਕੈ ਰਾਮਹਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥

rāmu baḍā kai rāmhi jāniā ॥1॥

रामु बडा कै रामहि जानिआ ॥१॥

Is the Lord greater, or one who knows the Lord? ||1||

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਡਾ ਕਿ ਜਾਸੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥

brahmā baḍā ki jāsu upāiā ॥

ब्रहमा बडा कि जासु उपाइआ ॥

Is Brahma greater, or the One who created Him?

ਬੇਦੁ ਬਡਾ ਕਿ ਜਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਇਆ ॥੨॥

bēdu baḍā ki jahāṃ tē āiā ॥2॥

बेदु बडा कि जहां ते आइआ ॥२॥

Are the Vedas greater, or the One from which they came? ||2||

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਹਉ ਭਇਆ ਉਦਾਸੁ ॥

kahi kabīr hau bhaiā udāsu ॥

कहि कबीर हउ भइआ उदासु ॥

Says Kabeer, I have become depressed;

ਤੀਰਥੁ ਬਡਾ ਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ॥੩॥੪੨॥

tīrthu baḍā ki hari kā dāsu ॥3॥42॥

तीरथु बडा कि हरि का दासु ॥३॥४२॥

Is the sacred shrine of pilgrimage greater, or the slave of the Lord? ||3||42||
