Shalok:

ਝਾਲਾਘੇ ਉਠਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਨਿਸਿ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਆਰਾਧਿ ॥

jhālāghē uṭhi nāmu japi nisi bāsur ārādhi ॥

झालाघे उठि नामु जपि निसि बासुर आराधि ॥

Rise early in the morning, and chant the Naam; worship and adore the Lord, night and day.

ਕਾਰ੍ਹਾ ਤੁਝੈ ਨ ਬਿਆਪਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਟੈ ਉਪਾਧਿ ॥੧॥

kārhā tujhai na biāpaī nānak miṭai upādhi ॥1॥

कार्हा तुझै न बिआपई नानक मिटै उपाधि ॥१॥

Anxiety shall not afflict you, O Nanak, and your misfortune shall vanish. ||1||
