ਹਰਖਹੁ ਸੋਗਹੁ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਹਰਣ ਭਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਸਰੰਦਾ॥

ਹਰਖਹੁ ਸੋਗਹੁ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਹਰਣ ਭਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਸਰੰਦਾ॥

harkhahu sōgahu bāhrā haraṇ bharaṇ samrathu sarandā॥

हरखहु सोगहु बाहरा हरण भरण समरथु सरंदा॥

Beyond pleasures and sorrows he is creator, sustainer and destroyer.

ਰਸ ਕਸ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਰੇਖਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਰਾਗ ਰੰਗ ਨਿਰਲੇਪੁ ਰਹੰਦਾ॥

ras kas rūp na rēkhi vichi rāg raṅg nirlēpu rahndā॥

रस कस रूप न रेखि विचि राग रंग निरलेपु रहंदा॥

He is away from enjoyments, repulsions, forms and even being amidst festivities, he remains detached and stabilized.

ਗੋਸਟਿ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਗੋਚਰਾ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਲ ਬਚਨ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਨ ਛੰਦਾ॥

gōsṭi giān agōcrā budhi bal bachan bibēk na chhandā॥

गोसटि गिआन अगोचरा बुधि बल बचन बिबेक न छंदा॥

Unapproable through discussions, he is beyond the powers of intellect, speech; wisdom and praise.

ਗੁਰ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਹਰਿਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਸਦਾ ਵਿਗਸੰਦਾ॥

gur gōvindu gōvindu guru harigōvindu sadā vigsandā॥

गुर गोविंदु गोविंदु गुरु हरिगोविंदु सदा विगसंदा॥

Accepting Guru,(Arjan Dev) as God and God as Guru, Hargobind (the Guru)remains ever elated.

ਅਚਰਜ ਨੋ ਅਚਰਜ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਿਸਮਾਦੈ ਵਿਸਮਾਦ ਮਿਲੰਦਾ॥

acraj nō acraj milai vismādai vismād milndā॥

अचरज नो अचरज मिलै विसमादै विसमाद मिलंदा॥

Being full of wonder he is absorbed in the supreme :Wonder and thus being awe inspired he remains immersed in supreme rapture , rapture.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲਣਾ ਖੰਡੇ ਧਾਰ ਕਾਰ ਨਿਬਹੰਦਾ॥

gurmukhi mārgi chalṇā khaṇḍē dhār kār nibhandā॥

गुरमुखि मारगि चलणा खंडे धार कार निबहंदा॥

Moving on the way of gurmukhs is like treading on the edge of sword.

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖ ਲੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੁ ਚਲੰਦਾ ॥੨੧॥

gur sikh lai gur sikhu chalndā ॥21॥

गुर सिख लै गुर सिखु चलंदा ॥२१॥

Accepting the teachings of the Guru, the disciple adopts them in his life.
