ਹਮ ਏਹ ਕਾਜ ਜਗਤ ਮੋ ਆਏ ॥

ਹਮ ਏਹ ਕਾਜ ਜਗਤ ਮੋ ਆਏ ॥

ham ēh kāj jagat mō āē ॥

हम एह काज जगत मो आए ॥

I have come into this world for this purpose.

ਧਰਮ ਹੇਤ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਪਠਾਏ ॥

dharam hēt gurdēv paṭhāē ॥

धरम हेत गुरदेव पठाए ॥

There supreme Guru has sent me for the protection of righteousness.

ਜਹਾਂ ਤਹਾਂ ਤੁਮ ਧਰਮ ਬਿਥਾਰੋ ॥

jahāṃ tahāṃ tum dharam bithārō ॥

जहां तहां तुम धरम बिथारो ॥

Propogate righteousness everywhere;

ਦੁਸਟ ਦੋਖੀਯਨਿ ਪਕਰਿ ਪਛਾਰੋ ॥ ੪੨ ॥

dusaṭ dōkhīyni pakri pachhārō ॥ 42 ॥

दुसट दोखीयनि पकरि पछारो ॥ ४२ ॥

Seize and destroy the sinful and the wicked.

ਯਾਹੀ ਕਾਜ ਧਰਾ ਹਮ ਜਨਮੰ ॥

yāhī kāj dharā ham janmaṃ ॥

याही काज धरा हम जनमं ॥

I have taken birth for this purpose.

ਸਮਝਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਭ ਮਨਮੰ ॥

samjhi lēhu sādhū sabh manmaṃ ॥

समझि लेहु साधू सभ मनमं ॥

Let the holy men understand this in their minds.

ਧਰਮ ਚਲਾਵਨ ਸੰਤ ਉਬਾਰਨ ॥

dharam chalāvan sant ubāran ॥

धरम चलावन संत उबारन ॥

I have come for spreading divine religion and for protecting the saints.

ਦੁਸਟ ਸਭਨ ਕੋ ਮੂਲ ਉਪਾਰਨ ॥ ੪੩ ॥

dusaṭ sabhan kō mūl upāran ॥ 43 ॥

दुसट सभन को मूल उपारन ॥ ४३ ॥

And for annihilating and uprooting all the tyrants
