ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਭਿ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕਲੇਸ ॥

गउड़ी महला ५ ॥

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਭਿ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕਲੇਸ ॥

hari simrat sabhi miṭhi kalēs ॥

हरि सिमरत सभि मिटहि कलेस ॥

Meditating in remembrance on the Lord, all suffering is eradicated.

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਪਰਵੇਸ ॥੧॥

charaṇ kamal man mahi parvēs ॥1॥

चरण कमल मन महि परवेस ॥१॥

The Lord's Lotus Feet are enshrined within my mind. ||1||

ਉਚਰਹੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਖ ਬਾਰੀ ॥

ucrahu rām nāmu lakh bārī ॥

उचरहु राम नामु लख बारी ॥

Chant the Lord's Name, hundreds of thousands of times, O my dear,

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ammrit rasu pīvhu prabh piārī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

अंम्रित रसु पीवहु प्रभ पिआरी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

And drink deeply of the Ambrosial Essence of God. ||1||Pause||

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਰਸ ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦਾ ॥

sūkh sahaj ras mahā anndā ॥

सूख सहज रस महा अनंदा ॥

Peace, celestial bliss, pleasures and the greatest ecstasy are obtained;

ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵੇ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥੨॥

japi japi jīvē parmānndā ॥2॥

जपि जपि जीवे परमानंदा ॥२॥

Chanting and meditating, you shall live in supreme bliss. ||2||

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮਦ ਖੋਏ ॥

kām krōdh lōbh mad khōē ॥

काम क्रोध लोभ मद खोए ॥

Sexual desire, anger, greed and ego are eradicated;

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਸਭ ਧੋਏ ॥੩॥

sādh kai saṅgi kilbikh sabh dhōē ॥3॥

साध कै संगि किलबिख सभ धोए ॥३॥

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, all sinful mistakes are washed away. ||3||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥

kari kirpā prabh dīn daiālā ॥

करि किरपा प्रभ दीन दइआला ॥

Grant Your Grace, O God, O Merciful to the meek.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀਜੈ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੭੫॥੧੪੪॥

nānak dījai sādh ravālā ॥4॥75॥144॥

नानक दीजै साध रवाला ॥४॥७५॥१४४॥

Please bless Nanak with the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||4||75||144||
